I have been having these codes for a while now. I went to several shops including Bosch Service, the below has been done and the code still appears.
- Spark plugs changed
- Fuel Filter changed
- Breather and hoses changed
All the intake area was checked for cracks.
Thats as far as i remember.
The Bosch Service guy even sprayed stuff on the intake area looking for leaks.
I'd appreciate some feedback from you guys as im out of thoughts.
On a side note, when i turned my car in the morning it turned on roughly (especially in cold weather) then when i changed the breather and the hoses it was less rough by 90%.
Thanks guys
NN
You need a scan performed with a BMW specific scan tool or a computer with BMW software. Standard OBD2 code readers can't communicate with all the computer modules that make up the BMW diagnostic system, but simple P-codes can help with emissions related faults. A smoke test with a real pressurized smoke machine is only sure way of finding all intake leaks.
