New to forum. Interested in purchasing Z4 and getting back into the bimmer world.
Within the 2009 E89 model range, What should I look for? What should I stay away from?
What can I expect? Should I spend the $$$ on a PPI? Service records or milage more important. What can I expect?
Not going to be a DD, but a weekend car. All input welcome...never too much.
Thanks in advance for all your input.

Definitely get PPI. Love my red E89 even though I only drive it once or twice a week. 30K miles in 5 years and I suspect that is not unusual. Even if there isn't a huge service file, the mileage is probably low enough that it hasn't been driven enough to really wreck anything. A PPI on the rack can reassure you that it hasn't been in an accident. Great weekend car!
I bought a 2009 about 6 months ago. Been my DD. I love it! I would recommend a PPI, although I did not get one on mine. It only had 34K on the clock and drives like new. The only issues I can think of is a recall on the battery cable. The high pressure fuel pump also had some issues on some cars. I think in a 2009 model if it was defective it would have failed by now.
