found one coolant leak. Water pump is seeping so replacing with a new one, new gasket, new tb, and new tensioner as well as a new coolant reservoir and cap.

Lesson learned, the cluster has a diode that excites the alt to keep the car charged. with out the cluster you will run out of battery power and break down at the beer store.

New fuel filter done with new mounts new front turn signals installed and finally an oil change. new pictures because its all boring working.

e34 news: new TRE pump installed and the car is up and running. the replacement master cylinder is wrong and apparently the old cylinder just had worn reservoir grommets. old one is will be getting reinstalled and see if it has brakes.

Trailer news: discussion on what needs to be done first. Paint/winch/aluminum ramps

Making nice progress! My megasquirt is still not back from dedericmotorsports. But maybe once it's up and running again we can finally meet up. I want to see this thing run!
If your e30 runs bad, switch to Megasquirt first. Then try new spark plugs, cap and rotor, wires, oxygen sensor, crank shaft position sensor, coolant temp sensor, air flow meter, idle control valve, throttle position sensor, digital motor electronics unit, harmonic balancer, fuel injectors, engine harness...

He said the daughterboard has an issue. I think he assembled something incorrectly and I got a CEL about it and ran it for nearly a year. I should have sent it back to him immediately, but I was pretty pumped my e30 didn't have the stumble anymore. He took care of the CEL, but it actually killed the outputs for launch control, so I'll never have that now. Oh well, IXs have AWD for launch control. Hopefully I'll get it back, with bluetooth, in a few weeks.

Well thats no fun. too bad he cant fix it correctly. Not a bunch of progress, calipers back on and ready for bleeding looks like one of the rear calipers was not working and was frozen. Re-greased everything and should be good to go.

Worked on plumbing up the turbo, for air/oil/and exhaust. Was trying to score an exhaust from NY but dont think it will work with my time frame.

Dyno time is schedule for March 4th. Currently working on determining what is the ideal power for the current club as each additional power level has a different raw time modifier.

Before i know it, it will be march 4th and i wont be prepared for

Injectors came back all 6 are now at 600 cc/min the worst ones were 5% off.

Welp, two weeks later im back at it. Injectors are back and now flowing correctly, intake manifold cleaned and painted, 95% of the exhaust crap is here, intake and charge pipes are here, 98% of the oil stuff is here. Id like to see it idle and start up this weekend/sunday. Two weeks till it hits the rollers. Need to bleed the brakes, build the exhaust, plumb up the turbo, and fill it with fluids.

Is it a public dyno session or are you going up there to tune?

put in about 25 hours this weekend. Did not finish. Exhaust is all welded up besides the muffler. think i need to add a few more clamps and put the body work back on. May call the dyno and tell them to push me back a weekend.

Sunday afternoon i went to turn it over and check for leaks and flush some coolant and oil through it. turned the engine over and had 10 psi of oil pressure. figured the lines were just big and it takes a while. started it up and maybe got to about 25. started to think i have a bad bottom end, swapped out the 20w-50 for some 5w-30. Except this time 0 psi. Decided to try and prime the engine manually and again 0 psi. At this time im starting to think its the gauge as i can see oil moving to the gauge line and feel the drill load up when the pressure builds. Check to see if the gauge is leaking and there is a kink in the line. thats a much easier fix then anything else. repaired the kink and have 38psi on start up. good enough for 5w-30.

Besides the long days and weld burnt arms it wasnt a bad weekend.

It's always never enough work. It's amazing how that is. This year has to be the body repair year for my ix and I'm not looking forward to it.

She is up and running. Went tuning on sunday, no way ill make it to a dyno in time for the first event. Currently around 9psi at 4500 rpms. nice smooth power with a very conservative timing map.

Dude that sucks about the leak. Is it the radiator or the water pump?

figured it out sunday afternoon, water pump is seeping looks like i either had the gasket inversed or it moved some how. NO one has it locally, not even the dealer. I have ordered 3 from three different sources and hopefully one of them will have it. Snow storm is screwing with everything. First race is saturday and i havent even finished tuning it or checking on the other leaks. Plan is overnighter friday after work to get it done and ready for saturday morning.

You and me both. Why not try cutting your own gasket and use hydroscopic/water pump RTV?

I've been hard at work fixing up my rallyx ix for this weekend, but I found out yesterday that it might end up being postponed. If it does, maybe I'll make it to autox with the e39. I'll have to see how the all nighter goes on Friday, haha. So far I've replaced all the soft and hard brake lines, brake rotors, soft and hard fuel lines, timing belt, removed AC, rear suspension, front passenger cv boot, driver steering rack boot, battery, and a bunch of other things I'm probably missing. And it's still a colossal rusty piece of shit. I just hope the frame doesn't crack on me, haha.

I installed the new MS unit on my street ix, but my tune threw a bunch of errors. I guess it has new firmware. Derek ported over my last tune but I haven't flashed it in yet. It also needs an alignment, I tried eyeballing it in the cold but that didn't work.
