Not all designs, sizes and finishes could be produced. To hit production minimums some people needed to be switched to their backup choices. Everyone who purchased a set should have received an email a few weeks ago specifying the final design/size/finish they will receive. Please contact us if you did not receive your final confirmation.

We broke our own rule of requiring 8 participants per size. On certain fitments we went ahead and produced them with fewer sets sold, but some had such low demand that we had to skip them. Below is a table showing exactly what will be coming in the first batch.

We're working on a large batch of on-car renderings. We'll be trickling them out over the next month.

In most cases we will render both designs and each wheel finish into a single photo creating a set. Different photo sets will show cars from different angles, distances, sceneries, but each set will be the same photo/angle. We do not have the bandwidth to take requests for various vehicle finishes and photos, but you're welcome to photoshop the images further.

These first 2 images are from a set that shows a side profile of an E46 M3 with FL-5 18x9.5" ET35 wheel installed. We should have Race Silver tomorrow.

I don't think they'll end up doing an E36/7 or 36/8 render. I think it's simply a matter of expected sales volume.

Bergy is correct. I have made it known to our associates that enthusiasts would like to see our new designs on a Z coupe (either Z3 M or Z4 M), but I cannot guarantee that it will become available. We have prioritized renderings for the chassis that provided us with the most survey feedback, and the last batch of renderings should comprise of something a bit different... I just do not know what that will be

They'll probably look really good, since they are very BBS RK-esque. I was hoping to be the first Coupe to sport them, but with a coast-to-coast move coming up in less than eight weeks, the coupe is headed down to Randy Forbes for reinforcement. On top of that, I have two wheel builds in progress, so my play money is sunk into parts right now.

11/11 Update

Alright ladies and gentleman, we’re rounding 2nd base and heading towards the second half of this Group Buy. We currently have pledges for 25 sets of wheels, which only represents a fraction of the 158 members who indicated interest during the feeler phase. The production of these new APEX designs depends on the communities participation.

We typically see a rush of buyers in the last 24 hours of every Group Buy, but there is no reason to wait. The earlier your pledge is placed, the more momentum we collectively build towards higher discount tiers. With the ability to choose your own minimum required discount (MRD), there is no risk. If your MRD isn’t hit, you aren’t obligated to pay!

The Group Buy ends Wednesday, November 16th at 11:59 PM PST - let’s finish strong!

Deal Progress

This deal is behaving just like every other deal we've run in the past. Many of you sign up early, it slows to a trickle, and then in the last 2 days everybody else jumps in. It seems we can't get people to overcome the desire to sign-up just before the cut-off. We expect 2/3+ of the participants to join in the last 48 hours.

Don't miss the cut-off. We can't add you in afterwards. Even if you're name is on the list. You must submit a pledge to get in on the deal.

Just a deposit!

The question of when you have to pay has come up multiple times. Only a $200 deposit will be charged at the close of the deal. You won't have to pay the balance until just before the wheels ship to you. That makes joining easy on the wallet.

Engineering on schedule

2D and 3D CAD models will be finished as of tomorrow. We're moving forward with tooling production the day after that which keeps this project right on schedule.

I was in the last GB and finally got mine installed.

Front:
APEX 18 x 8.5" ET35 EC-7 wheels in Anthracite wearing 235/40-18 Nitto NT01s with a 7.5mm spacer

Rear:
APEX 18 x 10.5" ET27 EC-7 wheels in Anthracite wearing 275/35-18 Nitto NT01s with a 12mm spacer

Running GAZ Gold coilovers with -3* front camber, minor rubbing of fender liner only at hard steering lock in reverse.
