Interested in going up to an e60/e61, Looking for values of current assets.

As the title states, I'm inquiring about the value of my e34. I fell in love with my good friends e60 m5. While I will not be shopping for an m5, I still like the look and motor availability in the e60/e61. I don't think ill ever get out of the e34 game, I'm just postponing it. May end up keeping it, but I'm weighing options.

Just looking for a rough estimate of value.

No replies? Guess I'll take a crack at it. I'd probably ask $5k and reduce as necessary until sold. That might sound low to you, but it takes a real quantum leap in E34 niceness to push past that in my opinion. The 535/5 is rare and interesting, but buyers are rare too and mostly interested in >$2500 cars. Unfortunately most mods don't actually add any value.

My advice: Don't throw in any spare parts (engines, transmission, etc). Most buyers won't care at all and only want what's attached to the car, and you can sell them for decent money elsewhere.

I'd say remove the rare parts, sell the car stock and the parts separately. It's tough to sell a 535 these days for more than $4k, no matter the mods.

I imagine we'd all be interested if he were selling this car for the same price as the average Craigslist special.
