Alright;
I'd like to mount 255/50 R16 tires combined with 8,5" rims all around on a E34, I was wondering what offset the rims should have?
Thanks

Try the FI or drag forum. Some of us have run that size, but I have an E36 and have done it only on the E36 and dont lnow the E34 fitment issues.
First of all, thanks for the answers
First, I followed the "fitment and spacing guide" and came to the conclusion that I'd need the offset to be between 5mm and 10mm to clear the front...
Stock for the E34 would be around 15mm to 20mm; the E36 however has a offset-range from 32mm to 42mm if I remember correctly..
I stumbled across this during my research:
http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...-50-16-fitment
The "E38 basket weave" rims have an offset of 23mm, combined with a 15mm spacer results in 8mm offset, which actually fits the "5-10-range" I had in mind...
So 8,5" Rims with 255 tires should fit the E34 all around if the offset is between 5mm and 10mm , can someone confirm this?
Thanks
ET~13 is enought. Why 255/50?
Thanks
The tire selection for the event I want to be taking part in is pretty limited; the other options would be way to narrow for the E34 under race conditions and the legal tire manufacturers don't offer anything allowed with a decent width and lower sidewall^^
