When did the M Sport Package come out for the 135i?

I looked at an 08 135i yesterday for my first car and I mentioned to the owner that the M Sport Package wasn't available in the 2008 model (it was advertised as having it). He insisted that it did, but through prior online research, it seems it did not. I don't care about it because the difference between it and the ZSP are negligible but I want to know when exactly it did come out.

I have a 2008 135i and the sports package comes with the car. It came with all first year models before they separated it as an option. The only thing that it doesn't include that the years after offer are the sport seats and shadow-line trim. I think that the official sports package, as an option started on the 2009 or 2010.
