I'd love to see what the dyno graph of what a stock compression m50 vanos on 100% e85 would do with this manifold, Schrick cams, and an gtx3676r or 8374 at like 25 psi, with an ATI dampener revving to 8k!

Will it fit in the trunk ? Shipping will be $$, probably needs to be delivered by freight.

It's been developed for the commercial shipping industry, so it will probably need more than "freight" to deliver it.

    Paging CES or EMC Eric.....

How is the engine mount arm / poly mount combo coming for the new Steedspeed TS manifold?

    Any updates would be appreciated.

Brad, if you get the manifold installed we could probably make a cool bracket to fit and knock a few extras out for others. I would rather one of the other companies take up the project, but if people are sitting in limbo...that's not cool

I had to move the motor mount to fit an EFR 8374 and 9180, and space the RR high mount arm off the block. May not be any issue with a Garrett or Precision.

I have a RR high mount as well. We will see I guess. I won't be doing the install any time soon.

The pictures of Mat's TRM mount with the Steed look promising for us small, in comparison, Garret turbo guys.

I'd like to see an arm and mount for sale that is a bolt in solution for these manifolds. Maybe I'm asking too much with the variety of turbos that people will be installing.

Part of me wants Phil to post up that the EFR 9180 spools like crazy and has boost control and tons of power, part of me (my wallet) hopes he says it's junk I don't like the sound of what Phil had to do to get it to fit.

I got tired of waiting for a response from rr. So I'm set up now with the stock arm, and I cut my condor delrin mount in half. All fits well since I run a stainless mesh screen on the inlet. Just need to make a downpipe and hot side chargepipe and I'm back on the road.

All the engine mount arms available go over the turbo inlet pipe currently. I find that too much heat is absorbed into the arm and the poly mount melts and distorts as a result. I think it would be a better idea to route the arm under the turbo intake pipe and get it away from the exhaust manifold to reduce this issue. With the turbo sitting higher on the new Steed this shouldn't be an issue........ Does anyone have any input on this?

With the EFR 8374 and 9180, there is not space to route a mount arm under the inlet with the new Steedspeed manifold. The turbo inlet pipe would run into the arm. The turbo inlet is not high enough above the subframe. However, with the EFR on this mani, it may be possible to put a thin cylinder mount on the subframe next to the engine block, between the block and the turbo inlet pipe, rather than on the other side of the turbo, between the turbo and the frame rail. An engineer type could give some input on the balancing of that with the driver's side motor mount and any structural issues with this proposed very short arm on the passenger side.

    Other turbos may differ.

Someone should make a bracket that bolts to the stock location to mount a urethane bushing offset towards the frame rail like this one

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Prothane-19-...pXrKUX&vxp=mtr

Then the mount arm would attach to that.

You still have to move the mount to fit a reasonable sized mount for an EFR turbo. My mount is now maybe 1/4 inch from the framerail, relocated on the subframe. The pivoting head on your arm would not necessarily sit flush on top of the relocated mount -- it is only one axis and you need two axis to have the sort of relocation flexibility you need. Of course, once you know where the mount will be, you can make a fixed arm.

Again, this may be necessary only with EFR turbos.

    like this
that would subject the bushing to rather high tensile loads, by bending it, much more than the tensile loads exerted by the engine just moving because of torque on output shaft of gearbox.

EDIT; nevermind, i thought it would be a normal engine bushing with that offset thing on top.
