For what it is, it does surprise people, with just 2 mods it does work.. Definitely a strong motor for sure

Another awesome video! I was impressed by the results against the e46. I think from here on out, I'm gonna reference New2M3's race videos whenever there's a debate regarding whether or not the e36 M3 can still hang with newer cars.

Just goes to show just cuz your car is supposed to be faster doesn't mean you can drive it faster lol. Nice job.

That's what so many people don't get, even though we didn't get the S50 Euro and S50B32 EVO engines, these cars are still amazing!!! I don't care if you want to say "its not a true M engine" At the end of the day, Your car would run with the Euros all day (IMHO and from what I have seen/driven). I have owned 2 E36 M3s (both 3.2Ls with M50 Mani/Exhaust/Intake) and then a 02 E46 M3 Manual geared. The S54 screams and revs like all hell but there is a lack of TQ, especially on the low end, under 5K, not much there... On runs like you posted, my e36 M3 felt like it had more "POP" when you get on it. Top end E46 with the S54 hands down but I didn't like driving at 8200 RPM all that often. Ironically, I actually never ran an E46 M3 with either 36 I owned. BUT....

2 years ago I ran my boy Eric (lives in Canada) who has E36 M3 S50B32 Swap against my E36 M3 and it was very similar outcome to your video. With the M50 Swap and some other mods, its not as big of a difference as its made out to be, Performance wise anyway...such as actual head to head pulls, to be clear, I am not talking about the actual differences in the engines or on a track. Just from what I have seen, not trying to get into an argument about it either, the S50 Euro and S50B32 are great engines.

All I'm saying is your car looked and sounded awesome pulling away from a E46 M3 coupe! (I thought it was going to be a Vert E46 M when saw the heading) which is still a great kill don't get me wrong but they are much heavier.

Anyway thanks for the video and nice pulls! Looks like you have a hell of a strong engine!

Thanks for the kind words Ive seen bolt on s52's do work against the euro motor, I know they make almost 100 more hp than us but they also dont have a lot of torque when you mod the S52 it becomes a beast. I am happy with my motor and setup, though I want to be faster I cant afford to but with what I have I do surprise a lot of people...

Ill keep the vids coming need to find some more people to do some pulls with..

I thought the S54 made more torque than the US S52 everywhere in the curve. The single vanos 3.0 Euro motor maybe not, but the later dual vanos motors should beat a US S52 in equal weight equally driven car.

it does. Stock it's in the 245-255 lb-ft range and flatter than the S52. Would be interesting to see what the dyno chart looks like on the E46 in the video. I've owned 4 E36 M3s, all modified (2 with different company cams and all), and while normally-aspirated none of the E36s would be anywhere close to the lightly modded E46 M3 I currently have, and one of them dyno'd 260whp (although that one was faster than an E46 convertible SMG I compared it to--similar to this video by comparison). Still an impressive video of this E36 M3 regardless! heck yeah I'd be proud of it too. I love challenging the V8s in mine so I know the feeling.

Right click the video (youtube for example) and click on "embed code" then past it here.

I would also modify the numbers in the " of that code you copied, lower them, it makes the dimensions smaller.
