Purchased my 2000 528i sport MT new. After 255K miles, I need to replace the style 5's. Long story short...the 17" that came with the car were defective and BMW agreed to provide me with 4 new 17" Style 5. Cool. But I didn't like the wait and bought a set of 18" new from BMW. When the 17" came in I sold them on ebay.

So I now have 4 bruised and battered 18" style 5 that I cannot replace with new. So I'm thinking lips and barrels. Anyone done this...the wheel is really a 2 piece wheel if I remember correctly....I haven't seen them with tires off for a long time. What do you think...really need some help. If I go with Lips and barrels...what size should I be getting for each. I think my 18" are 8.5" wide.

Also...are the centers the same on 17" and 18"?...I''m thinking not.
