Hi,
I've got a very unique issue in my car that the technicians at BMW and other shops specializing in Tire & Wheels weren't able to resolve.
My car started to drift slowly toward the right after I rotated the tires(just 6000 miles on it BRIDGESTONE DRIVEGUARD). I took it back to my tire guys and they first did a wheel alignment, it still did the same. Then they crossed the front tires, it still did the same. Then, force torqued all the four tires and mounted them back, it still did the same. They said they had no clue why it was doing what it did.
I took it to the BMW service station, they did the same routine. Checked alignment and they said it was off by quite a bit. I drove it felt the same, they checked it. Crossed the front tires, didn't work. Balanced all the tires, tried again and it still didn't change a thing.
They say nothing is bent and SUSPECT the spindle bearing on the front left might be slightly bent.
When I apply the brakes, it stops just fine(not pulling to any side, perfect stops), no steering vibration(the wheels are balanced just fine) but whenever I take my hands off the wheel, it drifts to the right.
It's just driving me nuts
HELP ME PLEASE
Does it do it in a large parking lot? Roads do have a crown to them.
Hi Fkdtenn,
It does it everywhere, back roads, parking lots, highways.
The dealer says there won't be any uneven tread wear because the alignment is in the "Green", it'll just pull to the right because they suspect the front left spindle bearing to be bent.
I can't quite wrap my head around this.
