My stromung sold in like 12 hours. 475 I think I got. Get the AZ donut gaskets for headers to sec 1. It allows for angling the whole system slightly for fitment.

    Chris you have your P/N?

Any more details on the AZ gaskets? Why these over OEM? (Redoing my entire exhaust front to back and have most of the parts laying here and just bought OEM gaskets).

They’re thicker, so you can torque the passenger sec1 to header flange more. That angles sec 2 away from the gas tank. Chris used slightly different ones that mine. As long as they are thicker, they’ll be fine. Just take your old gasket to the store and buy something with the same ID.

The minimum ID you'll need for the gaskets is 2.16"

    Small update:

starting to put the car back together. So far I have the front radiator support and the ac condenser back in. I mounted the section 1 exhaust.

i just received my OBX 2.5” dual muffler and my 3” tips. Tips are angle cut to 15* but I’m going to have them laser cut straight. Still haven’t received my euro washer tank or the euro radiator cover, they are set to ship March 19 from ECS. But I have all the rest of the supporting parts and brackets.

i also have a brand new front bumper cover because the old one is in rough shape. I’ll put the old stuff back on for now, and work on the cosmetics later in the summer. Needs the hood repainted too so all that will be done then.

pics of muffler and tips, tips are only slipped on at the moment.

    thanks for that...

update.. got the oil cooler mounted after much debate on where and how to mount it. Originally i was going to mount it with the AN fittings pointing down, but i didnt like that idea. So i flipped up and was going to mount it down in the lower portion of the bumper "mouth"... but was was an issue.
Decided to put it behind the kidney's.. but realized spacing is just too close to the aux fan. Decided to section out the bumper support bar.

Side note... for my electric fan, i need a switched 12v source. I last used the #16 orange wire, on the diagnostic port. Since the diagnostic port is rewired... can i still use #16 or is there another switched wire source i can use?

thanks, i have a lot of little things left, like just putting everything back together.

I have to re-use my old front fascia for now. 2 years ago in CA, i took a dip too fast and ripped off the front lip, made my front bumper cover ugly. Bought a new one from ECS and its been in the box ever since. Needs paint.
And now we go the almost the whole winter without snow, and now it starts fricken snowing here...

havent started it since initial starting, i need to break in the new piston rings, so thats the first thing i'll do once its ready to go..

    list of things to do...
    Finish front bumper install
Finish all wiring plug in's, (plugging back in the lights and various sensors, ect
Finish putting the DME and wiring back into the cubby hole.

I just save your pic, rotate it to the correct orientation (I use IrFanView) and repost it.

To post the image full size, I upload the pic and preview the post. I then right-click on the thumbnail in the preview and choose "open image in a new tab." I then copy the URL of the image in the new tab and post that inside regular image tags ( [IMG]URL[/IMG] ).

    UPDATE:

stil working on it... been sooo busy at work... its respiratory season so im busy with that...

    - got the airbox mounted
    - finished the oil cooler and lines
    - finished putting the wiring and DME back into the cubby hole
    - finished the front bumper and grill
    - put the carbon fiber beauty cover on

working on the intake. Decided to put the filter down deep in the front bumper behind the fog cover. kinda like i did with the S52, playing with that there is very little room once i put all the headlight stuff back and the new oil cooler lines. will have a lot more time next week to finish it.. one last major thing is doing the muffler, but i have everything i need for that so that shouldnt be an issue

You're getting close! I want to see your car when you're done. We'll have to meet up and go on a drive or something.

Yeah I’m planning it, intact I was just looking at your build lol.

So so I finished the engine bay and front assembly, with the exception of I need to find a switched ignition wire for my electric fan. Anyone know where to tap into?

so the agenda for today, weld up the rear muffler section, put some of the interior back in, and go for it’s first drive if all goes well

Nice - 4” or 5”? And I posted the exact pieces used in Mitches thread, check it out.

My First Harbor freight home it lasted like 10 years so I just went and got another one for 50 bucks no problem so far and I don’t anticipate any issues.

mine was a HF one too, lasted 4 years.. found out you cant replace the batteries... got flashed really bad when i went to use it.. i was going to try their Vulcan helmet. Their new line of welding equipment seems much better.

    https://www.harborfreight.com/weldin...met-63749.html

more expensive but has replaceable batteries, grind mode, bigger view area, new color tech vie as well, works with TIG welding too. Using their 20% coupon was $117

You can replace the batteries, says the internet. It’s just not worth all the time it takes to hack haha

yea the higher model looks good, I’ll get that when this craps out.

did you see the intake parts list?
