Mroadsterbuyers dot com. I just did a quick search and that came up. About 30-40 cars down I think.
SG iirc

It’s definitely a coupe thing. Im not surprised about an s54 coupe. For some reason I thought that s54 engine in a roadster would trump an s52 in a coupe but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Imo, S52 roady > S52 coupe > S54 roady > S54 coupe
Market used to reflect that price-wise, but now S52 coupes are worth more. Nows the time to get an S54 roadster!
The comments on BAT are a bit out there. I’d be annoyed if I were the seller with all the nonsense being posted.
$93,554 + fees. nearly $100k.
i think the buyer is just under $99k with fees.

$24.5k for an S52 M Roadster, seems like there might be an uptick in the price since the Hagerty article: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...m-roadster-48/
Hardtop, 25k miles, red helps but then there’s the buyer’s premium too. Definitely a healthy number though.
I know people will disagree but I think that is a fairly reasonable price. Could people do better? Sure we have seen some better buys but with a hardtop that car was a $50,000 car new in 2000 year dollars. It only has 25,000 miles. Hondas go for $30,000 today.

One thing I noticed in that ad his mechanic charged him $500 labor to fix his seat bushings. I think they cost me around $20 for parts. Made me feel good. This board helped me!
That car sold a couple years earlier for $22k, and there was a lot of work done in the interim (suspension, a wheel, many maintenance items). I think the new buyer got a good deal on a car that should already be well sorted.
Wow. $15k:

Lovely and well preserved (and well presented), and I suspect this buyer paid more than was necessary but, the heart wants what it wants, and it would be a tough job to find another like this.

With all due respect to the buyer, that’s an idiotic price. That’s S52 pricing.
As a general contractor it reminds me back when new homes were going for 200,000 Plus and people were saying that was ridiculous now those homes are selling for over 400,000. Point is that car could be going for a lot more than that in a few years and he would be looking pretty wise. You never know.
Definitely speculation pricing

Maybe I’m missing something. Is this thing more rare or valuable than an S52 of similar miles?
As for your example, when people were saying $200k was expensive the other houses were also $200k. I’m not seeing comps on the car that makes sense since an S52 is the same price. I must be missing something.
This 2.8 was under $10k with a hardtop and less miles.

I read the comments on that car and it had some issues. Those of us that own roadsters are not complaining that prices are increasing!
This one should be interesting to watch. 39k miles, 2.5 liter, automatic
I'm betting around $10k
