He was a BMW dealer and always had demos, including other Coupes. Remember, these weren't that popular back in the day. He sold his 1993 M5 with 18k miles recently. He's also got a 1700 mile Ford GT.

I put 900 miles on my M Roadster last year. If I had 4 or 5 cars instead of 3, I could easily only add 4-500 miles/year.

    BAT going HAM today with an e30 M3, e46 M3 Competition Package, S52 M Coupe with low mileage, 2002tii (m20 swapped), and an e36 M3 4/5

I’d wager a bet they go in price in the order I listed above. What’yall say?

There is some question whether it has LSD or something else.

In the photo gallery is a picture of the trunk without the carpet, no closeup though. Spotwelds look good on that picture:

Wow, low mileage M Coupes are firmly in the collector car category now. Disappointingly, low mileage M Roadsters are still just used cars at the bottom of their depreciation curve.

16k mile M Roadster still sitting at $10k with 1 day left.

It'll sell for more than that. And honestly, I don't know if its the pictures, or what, it really doesn't look all that well taken care of for such a low mile car.

Yeah, both seat belt guides are broken. Seems like one would get an obvious flaw like that fixed prior to an online auction.

Highest bid was $20K, but it didn't meet reserve.

I mean, roadsters are never gonna fetch what coupes go for. The rarity just isn't there, and the image of the car isn't the same either.

    Yeah, everybody already knows that.

I think there is literal speculation going on with M Roadsters. It's just interesting to see if the prices will start going up (no expectation to reach coupe prices).

S54 roadsters will probably experience a pretty intensive surge in prices within 3-5 years I'd say. They will rlhit S52 coupe pricing or near it. I am quite confident in this...

S52 roadys probably not. But super low mile, rare color combo or otherwise desirable and/or rare ones will someday be worth something.

It was an S52. May as well drive a diesel

Wonder if whoever did that video with the sub 10k mile LSB is getting ready to sell it and that was just some form of advertising. Although doing donuts and a track may not be great.

    A sub 10k LSB might break $100k.

For once in my life my personal preference has led me to the low-cost option. I have a Z3 because I wanted to relive the joy of driving a classic open-top sports car first experienced in a 1958 MGA. As long as I have a civilized vehicle for daily driving, the roadster will remain in my garage for driving fun. I hope the price never rises to the point that having a roadster is not an option for me. BTW my S52 is NOT a diesel.

I bet the one in the Jalopnik video is owned by BMW given that they were on the BMW Performance center track and it had no license plate. If that is true, I wonder why BMW is drawing attention to the M Coupe. Maybe another secret project is underway...

Agreed. I took my roadie out for a spin yesterday to enjoy the air coursing through my remaining 37 hairs on my head while at the same time listening to the notes of my SS exhaust change as I accelerated to ludicrous speed

If they made a Z3 with ab M57 I'd rock it. 900 torque easily out of a tune and a few bolt ons...

Whats a trunkfloor? Oh, that thing I left at the light as soon as it turned green...?
