This is a place to discuss, share insights, and face palm all those Z3/M coupes and roadsters on the open market. Collectively, the users of this forum have much say about the current market for our cars. This thread will help to consolidate that discussion, as well as to chronicle the evolving market for our cars.
A couple ground rules:
-- Limit the discussion to only cars of the Z3 platform.
-- When starting a new discussion, at minimum, provide a clickable link for the ad/blog/auction etc. Posting screenshots and pics is also encouraged in order to facilitate discussion.
-- Do not use this thread to list your own car for sale.
Bump. It will take time to gain momentum but this should be an active thread. Anything interesting out there?

I was curious about that 325hp S52 M coupe...

Just missed a couple of good ones last week.
First, DannO's old track car build: http://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-bmw-m-coupe-2/, which didn't meet the reserve.
And then this S52 that also didn't meet reserve: http://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-bmw-z3-m-coupe/

Can't say I'm horribly surprised at some of these cars not making their reserve. For being "rare" cars, they seem to show up on BAT very often, perhaps that takes away some of the attraction with them seeing so many go through the site.
And the race car... 335hp is quite a claim for a N/A S52, especially given the mods on that engine. Crank, flyhweel, a worked head, cams and headers running off an aftermarket ECU? If they had a dyno or at least some track or drag times to back those numbers up thats one thing... not to mention its not even ready to be raced as it sits now. For someone wanting a race car, the orange M coupe with the LS2 seems like a better buy, at least to me...

Not sure where the additional 19 ponies came from, but this was the news bulletin nearly thirteen (<13) ago:

And this was posted a few days later; deadlinks to pictures now, but no reason to thinks there's any embellishment.

Comments on the new estoril are quite interesting. One guy wants to buy a 2000 S54 coupe and another guy says he owns a 2001 S52 coupe....
A thread on a thread is definitely interesting....
I just sold my S8 on BAT to pay for my Coupe, does that count?

I bought my mcoupe on BAT recently. Not sure if this thread is for things like BAT or against it, but I bought for what was a fair price for what I consider an excellent condition vehicle. I was pretty happy.

21K-Mile 2002 S54 for $27,250, albeit it's a roadster, still seems a little low. Unlike the e30 M3s, M/Z3 coupes and roadsters seem to pull a little less on BAT than elsewhere.
