Some TLC to my new Z3. Installed the seat bushings on the driver side that the PO had bought but never installed. Sadly he did not buy the passenger side, so I'm going to have to wait to do that until I order some. I also started the replacement of shocks with KYB Shocks. I did one rear one and that was pretty easy. Taking a break for dinner. I hope the front's are not too bad either.
I got around to installing the gas pedal to throttle cable bushing. My workaround was previously a vacuum cap with a tiny worm clamp to keep the cap from moving and keep the cable from working its way free.
Also got the new 61131392246 abs connectors to fit, so now the $13 I spent on the pair is no longer wasted.
I still need to get my AC system vacuum tested and recharged, still need a new top, and still need to replace brake rotors and pads, but after that I will be down to cosmetic things. Like straightening the frame, replacing the upholstery, and replacing the trim piece at the front of the dash. Oh, and maybe replacing the glove box that has been outside of the car for 8 months.
Installed a strut bar
Installed new stereo with Sirius
I bought one of those $40 stick-on lip spoilers for my trunk.
To me, it's worth a chance to see whether the quality is acceptable and I find the visual effect appealing.

Sorry--I should have included that.
It was the cheapest and subtlest one I could find (that still looked like it was well enough made not to look silly). Though it does not continue onto the fenders, I'm hopeful I'll like the look of it (questionable increase in downforce notwithstanding):

I have one of those and I like how it looks. Very subtle and looks like it's supposed to be there.
i like that too. might look into one. its a purely aesthetic thing anyway.

A good belly washing to remove 16 years of road crud. It's nice to be able to really get up underneath now and look at what is and is not aging well.

Looking forward to a shot of Zedric mit new spoiler. I bought one 3-4 years ago but just haven't proceeded with mounting it. I can't even decided how far up or down the slope I like it. I taped it on numerous times and in various positions and ended up with this:
Stuff. I got stuff.
Hey Terry,
I mounted it yesterday and took quick cellphone pix. I aligned it so that the ends were within a couple mm of the side of the trunk lid, so there was not much guess work (though I played with some masking tape for decent alignment prior to adhesion).
I've not driven it yet, but plan to do so Sunday AM. I'll see if I can get a decent real-world photo. For now, here's a poorly lit garage image or two:

That's the same knob I just got to replace the original one that disintegrated a couple weeks ago. nice!

Got a trailer hitch and ordered a trailer from Northern Tool. Going to need to guy a couple of bolts to replace the studs that were on the spare tire tray (I'm not sure if I'm going to put it back on).
Dig it...I have been thinking about putting a hitch on.
I'd love to have one of these:

I visited their plant in NC a couple years ago and think it would be a great road-trip trailer.
Yes, see the dolly on each post. Let it down onto those and it rolls around very easily.
Normally sits in one side of the garage, but I can roll it out in about 5 minutes when needed.
