Just a light fender roll in the rear so that I coud run the rear suspension really low. And because the R888 are/run soo much larger than other brands in the same size. The 255/40 on the front has 10" of tread on the ground!
I had the front wheels widened 1.5 inches and added two inches to the rears. Now the rims are 9 x 17 and 11 x 17
Rear spacing is the key.
My car just got all of these things...
Light weight fly wheel
Clutch
ThayerMotorSports shift pin kit
E36 325i Slave Cylinder
Braided Clutch Line
MagniFlow Exhaust Cat Back
Oil Pan Gasket
Oil Filter Housing Gasket
Motor Mounts
Transmission Mounts
Shifter Assembly bushings
Guibo
Surly some other parts I am forgetting
Didn't buy but just took off the Federal Himalaya WS2 205/55/16 Winter Snow Tires and put back on the Dunlop DZ102 225/50/16 UHP Summer Tires. Cleaned up the tires with some Bleachi-White and washed out the rims..... Sweetness is coming back!

Bought her a front end alignment after replacing the steering rack and a passenger front reman brake caliper.
3/30/17: Installed the passenger front reman brake caliper plus a brake bleed, been almost 2 years. All better now.

Vera (early production '96) got a new cooling system: radiator, hoses, water pump, thermostat, belts, fan, fan clutch. She's going on a 2000 mile road trip in a few weeks and this is about the only thing not done, short of a clutch or other major mechanicals. 2000 miles, 3 days, one side of the US to the other. Wish us luck!

Speaking of the top: I found a very good write up with many pictures below.

found this metal tanked extractor. I'm really looking forward to my next oil change now.
Why do so many people use an extractor for oil? Because the cR is pretty low / jacking up is a pain?

I've been using that one for about a year now. Love it!
Amount of oil removed is within an ounce or two of draining, and it's much easier without a lift to take 10 minutes and change the oil. Also very handy for easy tranny and diff fluid swaps, and I've even used it to suction out old brake fluid from the reservoir when changing over to another brand. Very handy tool to have in the garage.
2001 Steel Gray MCoupe - 147,000 miles and owned since new. MCS 2WNR suspension, Hotchkiss swaybar, poly bushings all around, cat delete headers with custom tune, 3.73 LSD, and Clownshoe Motorsports rear subframe reinforcement.

With the oil filter mounted on top you don't need to go under the car for an oil & filter change, big plus when I have 4 BMWs to maintain. It does pull up just about all the oil as stated below, I have checked after an extraction. Plus when you get the Brake Bleed Kit taking care of the brake fluid is so easy, vacuum through bleed nipple vs. pressure push from reservoir. I use it on my 1990 automatic with a dip stick for tranny fluid also, measured amount out & measured amount in very easy.
Best Fathers Day gift ever!

New front bumper cost a little bit so I tried my hand at some body work. I still need a little refinement but not too bad.front end b4.jpgfront 3.jpgFront 02.jpgFront 1.jpg
