Eh, just flip 'em on the rims and you can start wearing on the other side. I'd say at least 30k left in them.

You'll love the sound of the mufflers, at least after 500-1000 miles. Mine got quite a bit deeper, and finally set off a car alarm leaving my office parking garage last week! I hear you about the bank account; I've spent more on my Z3M than I bought it for.

New Vanos line, oil distribution block and an intake gasket from Randy Forbes for the Eurosport Twin Screw
Got some matte black kidney grills, upgraded the LCABs to AKG Motorsports (big difference!) and fixed the handle gaskets.
Surprised how many don't bother with the handle gaskets. They're so easy once you find the locking mechanism!
I love the black on black too.

I got my lighted ZHP knob in the Roadster, and attempted to add a chrome sunroof switch surround to the Coupe to complement the Chromeline interior, but the switch exploded upon removal and I gave up. Due to the failure rate of sunroof kinematics, probably best I don't open it anyways. Now I think my train horn button should live up there. Hmm.

Not Z related, but also installed an entire Energy Suspension poly bushing kit and coilovers on the Lemons car. Hard to see, but there are BMW wheels on the rear of the car (E30 bottle caps). Now I have to rework the exhaust; the new ride height puts the tip about 1" off the ground. Doah!

You can move the wiring around on the sunroof switch to make it illuminate at night.
Also looks like you pried from the button cover? Pry from the outer trim, pops right off. The cover should also pop back on
No, I pried between the switch and harness (that gap in bottom of photo), just put that back in for a joke. It made it about 90% of the way off, the switch housing cracked and pieces flew everywhere. Found everything (I think), but not sure where that little steel spring/jumper thingy goes.
Found that wiring swap for lighting...looks simple enough.

And as I recall thats a special switch even though it looks like a normal window switch...
Luckily it's the same as an E36 sunroof, but yes it is different from the window switch. $10ish on eBay if I don't get it back together. That steel piece doesn't seem to want to go in any way I try.

RealOEM only says up to 9/96, but that's definitely the switch that came out.

Nothing crazy, just a few little things that make driving more pleasurable:
V1 mirror wire tap kit (I used sunroof switch harness for power...brown is switched hot and red is ground; go figure that one out)...
IMG-20180522-WA0009.jpeg
Added a check valve to the rear wiper line...no more dribble and the spray is much more vigorous actually hitting the window now....
20180523_202437.jpg
Added a couple spare M gauges I had laying around. Still finalizing placement of an interior fuse panel and deciding exactly where to tap oil temp...have a VDO sender that fits the drain plug for now. I might tap a VANOS bolt for a fitting. I ran gauge bulbs off the headlight dimmer wire so they act like the rest of the interior lighting...
20180513_190629.jpg
New keychain that's a perfect match to the Coupe...
20180522_163117.jpg
OEM keyless entry with a siren (I like the chirp!). Since I was the last one left at the office, it really echoed in the parking garage...

Catless eBay headers for the coupe... Took some tweaking to get just right, but in the end all is well.

Nice! How was the change in feel? My 2.8 came with headers so I had no baseline to compare against.

Picked these up today!
Waiting till next week to put them on, though. The resistance is real.
Current tires have about a track day left, so I’ll burn those out before I put NT01’s.

Heat wrapping is really to keep the exhaust headers hot, but where I live, it's never cool enough to really justify that...
Plus header wraps cause all kinds of problems. The correct solution is a header coating, but that costs big $$$. On cheap ebay headers there is no point. Stock headers are not wrapped or coated, so ebay headers that are not wrapped or coated are still a big upgrade.
