Actually bought previously but just getting around to it now.

Just did the pre-cat O2 sensors, just in time for smog coming up. Can’t believe I’ve had this fantastic car for almost 2 years now!
New rad, water pump, and radiator hoses about a month ago.
I’m looking at new brakes in the spring as the Meyle rotors (with Stoptech street performance pads) I got are pulsating pretty bad after just a year. Pretty sour about that. Don’t know if I ought to go with plain Zimmermans or one of the slotted offerings from Stoptech or ECS.
Suspension bushings, shocks, and struts are on my radar too, but not till I get the X5 back together. I

Three oem metal clips to anchor the HVAC bowden cables to the control dials. Originals were made of plastic, broke...poorly engineered. First time my HVAC system has worked correctly in 10 years!
Hardtop is on and it's sitting in a warm garage.

X1 Wheels for my 2000 Coupe -- Horrifying?!?
Style 621 silver painted 17x7.5J ET34, 215 45R front 235 40R rear. Stock suspension. 25mm spacer in back, none in front. The hood is not original to the car in case you notice the clear coat loss and side makers are aftermarket dark lenses and not holes, lol.

Not horrifying at all. Maybe wouldn't be my first pick but far from being awful. Lowering it a little bit would help a lot

I'm chompin at the bit to update the suspension parts and get a lower stance, but I have to make it past a diff swap, floor re-enforcement and adding the Garagistics toe-camber plates first. Baby's close to 200k miles and has pronounced neg camber in rear which is hard to see in the pics.
Replaced headlamp switch, bulb and pull shaft/cap (replacement cap has chrome ring). The old switch looks fine other than not turning for the dim function. However nice to have this working again as it's something I use.
Adjusted my hardtop as the driver side was set too low and touching the body due to improper adjustment by PO.

Two nice new sticky Michelin PS AS3+ tires for the front. Already had them on the rear, but when I got the car, it still had the original version of the PS all seasons on the front. I think they were about 12 years old, and hard as rocks, although they had good tread still left on them. I put a set of them on my Audi TT 225 when they came out, but never liked them. I've been through 2 sets of the AS3s and really like them for a year-round tire here in N. Va.

A little while back I made a Splitter for the front end and had it powder coated crinkle black. Was able to install it with out drilling any new holes.20190910_114030.jpg20190920_165031.jpg20191230_195007.jpg
We have a art & education supply store nearby that I bought a large sheet of posterboard material to use as a template. I laid it on the floor and used a level and plumbed down from edge of bumper to get me started. A lot of cut and fitting. Was able to use existing bolts (just had to get longer ones) except the two in front. I made new Brackets for my SC radiator and ran threaded stainless rods down from them to front of Splitter as shown in pic.

I still have the template if anyone was interested, don't want any money, be happy to help a fellow car enthusiast.
