The typical dry rot had happened to my subwoofer speaker foam surround like many others claim. So I bought a replacement foam surround from Simply Speakers after some research on here, and did the work myself. Not too hard to do, took me about 3-4 hours all said and done (including waiting for the glue to dry). Now the sub works like a champ (sound system overall stick sucks, but I don't listen to the radio that loud anyway...the engine sounds much better). But it's definitely worth $20 and to now have bass. And for the record, you want to buy the 6" subwoofer foam surround, NOT the 6.5"!

It's one of the many aftermarket options for the Z3M. The Eisenmann exhaust was already on the car when I got it, but it's one of the more expensive units to my knowledge, and there's a Sport version and a Race version. Guess which one is louder? LOL. All "M"s come with quad tips. If you have a Z3, not an "M", than your exhaust coming out the left side is how it is from the factory.I noticed in your sig some "Eisenmann exhaust (Sport)"
What exactly did you install? Also you have duals (my roadster came with left side exhaust) custom? or is that the way the "M" model comes?

Installed the Z4M steering wheel I bought from hexagone: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...1#post29676781
"AmirFM Transmitter, Wireless Bluetooth FM Transmitter Car Kit, Universal CarCharger with Dual USB Charging Ports, Hands Free Calling.." This thing was a cheap and simple way to play music from my iPhone to the stock radio. I pull it out when not in use and stick it in the door pocket. The hands-free calling feature is useless. The mike is too far away and there is too much noise in our roadsters for it to work. The sound quality is perfectly acceptable once I found a good fm frequency. I have to be careful not to smash my fingers between it and the shifter when going for reverse and to a lesser extent first gears.
Installed ISC coilovers, Meyle HD front lower control arms, AST suspension E36 lollipop bushes. Then replaced the vacuum hose with the check valve that goes under the intake manifold plenum. Found I still have a vacuum leak whistling somewhere under the intake manifold.
Control arms went fine until it took 4 hours to get the outer left joint out of the knuckle. Ended up torching it out (I have never done this before and it went fine besides the omnipresent west Texas wind).
I got up this morning to finish installing the new arms and spent a good 30 minutes just spinning a ball joint stud with an open end wrench, thinking about "The Final Cut" Pink Floyd album and enjoying the weather. Finally noticed something wrong and put more pressure on the joint with the jack and finished up.
Rides way better.
Also found my Bluetooth speaker in the car, could have been actually listening to Pink Floyd. Jeez.
Installed new tweeters, kick panel speakers, rear speakers, driver's inside door handle and one of these. I have no idea why it was missing.

In the past month, Ive performed a full coolant system refresh (pump, thermostat, belts, pulleys, radiator, coolant, fan switch, etc); Ive also installed a new suspension front and rear (bilstein b4, HR lowering springs, new upper and lower spring pads and new mounts with reinforcement plates front and read). Next up is valve cover gasket replacement, vacuum tree replacement, CCV and hoses replacement, intake gasket replacement and transmission flush.....
yikes, now I understand why I have no money.
Finally had the headliner and pillars recovered. Guy did a fantastic job.

A detail.
A few years back I put a Dinan exhaust on my 3.0. Love the sound, can't say enough about it. Not really sure how, but at some point, one of the brackets attached to the car popped it's spot welds and came off. I though it would be an easy fix and paid a random garage $70 to weld the bracket back on - that was a mistake; they melted a hole in the plastic inside the trunk and melted the wiring running between the brake lights (which if you didn't know will result in your car shutting down and not restarting). Lesson learned and the exhaust was back on, but ultimately failed again in similar fashion (two broken brackets).
After that failed attempt to have my exhaust brackets reattached, I broke down and decided to pay for a real welder to fix the issue once and for all. I pulled everything from the trunk, the fender liners, and the rear bumper to give ample access for the welder to work. I pick it up over the weekend and am expecting a perfect exhaust.
My mechanic Rob Gil is overseeing the process and shot me a few pics of the work in process. Can't say enough about him - a real enthusiast.

Something small but very important.... Brake switch, bc I found out my brake lights were always on. Also brake pedal bushings from AKG
I did not buy anything for my Z3, BUT I did buy a new-to-me 2000 Z3 M Roadster (Imola red).

Bought stainless hoses for inner rear brake hoses, motor oil+filter, strut tower reinforcements, and new spring pads. Unfortunately, I can only install the strut reinforcements right now because of the whole "I had to have some of my thumb surgically removed" thing making it to risky to mess with currently.
Here's hoping that the fiance will let me oversee him doing the work.
I just purchased Magnaflow 16465 cat back stainless dual 2.5" exhaust. usually over $900 new, can be had for $773 out the door from https://www.discountbandit.com/bmw-z...ce-kits-1.html
After installation, I will be ready for the ESS TS2 sitting in my living room to be fitted.
Control arm, ball joints, control arm bushings, gauge rings, and a euro steering wheel!
Busting ball joints wasn't exactly the highlight of my weekend!

Replaced the radiator and all hoses on the S54 after the overflow nipple broke off while pulling into my garage. Also cleaned the garage so I'll have more motivation to work on the cars.
Current plan is to get the S54 running well, give it a thorough detailing, then not drive it until bimmerfest
