Hi all,
I've been a (semi-moderately) active lurker of BimmerForums, but I need your help now! I'm looking to replace my current stock run flat tires (205/55-16) with non runflat all season tires. I've read a few posts here and there of suggestions, but those posts are rather outdated, so I was wondering if anyone had new information.
I've read people recommend Michelin Pilots, and others turn away. Same with Continental Sports. I hear Bridgestone is terrible in general.
A few things I suppose you should know:
- I am a slight aggressive driver
- Obviously would like to have a smooth drive
- Not much commute except for work (15 minute drive), gym (15 minute drive), and whatever local plans I have on the weekend
Obvious answer is that I'd like to spend as little money as possible, but beggars can't be choosers and I chose a BMW for a reason. I've been going on TireRack to see what's out on the market and to read reviews, but I wanted to hear your thoughts as well. All of your help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 - The family and l have them installed on all our cars, from Honda to BMW. Check out the TireRack site for comparisons, testing results.

I'll add another brand that hasn't been mentioned. I had the Kumho Ecsta ASX on my E36 M3 and even ran them at an HPDE event. That was a number of years back, and the current model is now called the Ecsta 4X II. Tire Rack has a video comparison you may have already seen where the Ecsta 4X II comes out ahead of similar UHP tires from Firestone and Sumitomo.
The DWS 06 are great if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow or icy roads, but they are pricey.
Thanks everyone! I'll def look into the Continental, because NJ winters are getting pretty bad every year.
eeeks!

Continental Extreme Contact is excellent choice, at least I can recommend. Bought from autonvanteet dot fi complete set for about 295€, but that's here in Finland.
