Details: 2006 E46 M3 Convertible, 6MT, 107K miles, recently replaced the FCAB and RTABS. About 1000 miles later I am getting a noise similar to if you were constantly driving over rumble strips and I have a very slight wheel vibration. I have checked all of the bolts for the FCABs and RTABs, checked the lug bolts, checked the tire pressure and have removed all wheels to inspect for damage, cracks or bends.
The noise is independent of the engine speed. It starts as soon as I have the car rolling. Doesn't worsen when navigating curves, not clunks, or creaking. As far as my suspicion I think it's either a blown strut, although simply pressing on all four corners the struts seem to rebound equally. Doesn't worsen with accelerating, decelerating, or braking...
Thoughts??
Where is it coming from? Shock mounts?
