Some random Honda ricer dude was revving his engine at me when I was driving my X5 4.6 one night... So I floored it and showed him the true meaning of torque. He was left in the dust before he could even say VTEC.

I get the occasional Mustang owner...but seriously, with a slush box in my 540, it isn't even worth trying....I know I will get smoked.

I get challenged all the time in my 430 Scuderia. Mostly Subies, occasionally a Mitsu Evo...once in a while I will play, but usually not worth the risk of a ticket or worse. Plus all the bragging rights are with them...I'm expected to win...and one of these days they will win...those cars are damn fast with mods!

If it's an older Mustang then it's not impossible to beat them with a slushbox 540i. Back when I had my M5 I could beat most stock Mustang GT's as well, even the more recent ones.

I gapped a first gen CTSV on the way to school. Probably just driver mod tho. Was pretty impromptu. I downshifted to pass someone else with flying colors and he downshifted next to me after I passed and we ended up doing a 40 roll.

Lots of focus st's a few wrx's all but one tried to race on the fwy idk why 3rd gear in these 540's is quite fairly strong AF for no apparent reason LOL. The one that tried to race from a dig was a focus ST to which he quickly realized his car was wrong wheel drive and just got ate up off the line and the rest was history. I haven't really raced much (don't want a ticket) and of the races I have been apart of I usually win because the opponents think they have me good but realize things didn't go their way. Of the few times I do lose I simply think eh my car is 16 years old who gives a crap anyway lol. Then I go back home and pull out my cls55 amg and proceed to blow the doors of 90% of cars roaming the streets. Only then can a sleep easy at night.

I've had my 540i for a few months now. Most of the time people don't even give me a second glance.

Though I was running late one night and I went around this heavily modded Jeep Wrangler. Sounded and looked really nice.

The kid must have thought I was trying to race. I just was trying to get home. As luck would have it we ended up next to each other at the next light with no one around.
I took it as a sign that the racing Gods wanted me to open the engine up a bit. I was quite surprised how easily the 540i pulled away, he also seemed to be caught off guard.

He gave me a thumbs up at the next light.

Most of the time I drive like a Grampa, but it was fun to feel what my stock 18 year old car could still do.

Gapped a new 328i GT with a tune, a juiced Crown Vic, Bug Eye STi on 22lbs, and a B5 S4. Oh, I love instant NA power. By the time these other cars get enough boost to start pulling on me, we are going too fast and it's time to let off.

Low end torque is what wins at the stoplight every time. That's why I love my V8's. My favorite thing lately has been flying past people in my X5 4.6is, because nobody expects an X5 to be fast.

Subarus subarus subarus...BRZ's,WRX's, they always seem to act like they want to prove something.

I gave a young man quite a shock from a dig at a redlight were his lane would eventually merge into mine. Light turned green and out the window went his ego.

Lately it's been dudes with tuned diesel trucks trying to race me. Or rather, they speed ahead of everybody and get extremely offended when anybody is going as fast as them so they speed up. One guy ended up doing like 85mph on a 40mph street... I slowed down after hitting 50mph, no point in trying to beat idiots like that.

86% of FRS\BRZ owners get embarrassed at this point. WRX owners can be easily distinguished by their redline bouncing and inability to shift gears. I don't provoke people, but I fight in self defense, and I win. Seriously need to get rid of these glossy black Beyerns.

It's even worse in the R, where some S4 and WRX owners are smart enough to know what it is and are then surprised why I pull away from them with a slushbox because they can't drive.

86%. I see what you did there. Haha

I don't provoke people either, always self defense, lol . I think the "stance" (cant think of a better word for it), and sound of my car get the ricers all hot and bothered.

I was stuck behind a WRX STI in traffic after work today... of course it had the biggest mufflers that a bro can buy. It made a whole lot of noise but I bet it wasn't all that fast.

Show me anything that shows anything other than a range between 4.6 and 5.0 seconds. Otherwise no-one wants to hear your self-made bs.

    Except it's not an inline 4, isn't it a flat boxer 4?
