2017 Southeast 8 Gathering - 10th Anniversary March 2017

Just a reminder - don't forget to get those registrations in. They are due one week from today on February 10th.

Also, just learned that at the Lunch we will be having at the German Yalaha Bakery on Saturday there will be live music for us! We went last weekend and the German lunch was excellent. Some past attendees may remember we had lunch there once before several years ago and had a great time. The owner is really excited about our return. The Yalaha Bakery was just named one of the best bakeries in central Florida.

Can't wait to see everyone!

As Roger has posted, if you want to attend a truly wonderful 8-gathering, take a minute and send in your registration form. This is a great opportunity to spend a weekend with fellow 8ers and enjoy some great times and great weather. If you only plan on doing one thing 8-related this year, make it this one - you won't regret it.

Hi All!
The site is back up and the forms are downloadable at this time. Sorry for the hassle that it might have caused. There was a Security and back end code update that went in automatically (meaning "without any warning"). Found the problem and its all good. Have to redo the changes but will not affect the rest of the site.

FYI about site access:

In the past we've seen unauthorized login attempts into the chapter website. These attempts are primarily aimed at infecting the site (any site really) so that visitors' computers can also be infected and thus vulnerable to being taken over and used to attack other targets locally or remote to the infected device. In order to combat this and to try and ensure that www.bmwccae31.com is safe for all visitors, I've had to employ certain tools and methods aimed at minimizing these attempts. One of those methods is blocking networks from which these attacks have originated from. Unfortunately, sometimes valid visitors are also prevented from visiting the site as well.

I am regularly monitoring the visits and their sources to the site and tweaking the tools so that legit visits are not prevented from accessing the site. That being said, if any of you find that you are having difficulty visit the chapter web site, please be sure to let me know (PM me or email me "webmaster at bmwccae31 dot com") so that I can see what can be done to resolve the issue. I also STRONGLY recommend that you ALL ensure that your devices are virus and malware free for your own as well as the chapter's website benefit.

Now, I hope everyone who can make it to Mt. Dora are making plans to drop in and looking to have a great time with some really nice folks.

We now continue with our regularly scheduled yakkity yakkin....

We have a very limited timeframe, but may be able to order some extra shirts if anyone wants. These will be limited to US orders (no international orders). Costs will be $26.00 each which includes priority shipping. Shirts will need to be ordered by Wednesday at midnight to make sure they are included in our group order for the event.

Yes Greg - a few are coming in without their cars. One lost their car to a fire and are driving something else as they are currently 8less. As you said, it is about friends and the people. The cars are what bring us together. Worked 16 hours on the car this weekend trying to get it done ... we will see what happens this week.

All of this never would have come together from day one without Yourself and Marsha. You gave me support and encouragement to host South Carolina 8@20. It was your inspiration that facilitated me. Thanks Greg. It is a group effort, and as previously said - it is all about the people. We just checked the weather for this upcoming weekend: Mid 70's during the days and sunny. Mid 60's at night all three days.

We are finalizing everything, picking up orders, having things delivered, and can't wait to see everyone.
