Agreed on the HT. It really is a must have an worth every penny. Con: it looks so cool you never want to take it off again.

And since it's seems to be show off your strutbar...

BTW... I love the pillarless look with the hardtop.

Decided today to try my hand at refinishing the Contours I picked up a couple weeks ago (thanks uneeq005). First came the pressure washer and simple green. Then went over any rough spots with a dremel 120 grit flap wheel. Then rubbed down everything with 160 grit and another bath and degreaser. Finally taped them off and laid 3 coats of duplicolor filler primer. They are looking pretty good (although not perfect due to my lack of patience). Tomorrow I will wet sand with 600 and 1500 and then 3 coats of dulpicolor wheel paint and 3 of duplicolor wheel clear. For now it's time for a beer.

In the middle of all the sanding I watched my wife drive up in the ///m (she loves driving it almost as much as I do) and found myself questioning whether I really want to pull the ds2's...

Sanding, paint, and clear done. Far from perfect but should look pretty good after a final compound and polish.

Need to find a good source for wheel centers and ///m stickers.

Got the center caps in the mail so polished up the wheels and got them mounted up. Happy enough with how they turned out but will definitely be keeping the ds2's as a second option.

Also picked up a eBay prepainted decklid lip spoiler. Pleased with the paint match and fit but can't decide if I want to install it or not. Opinions?

Personally not a fan, but if you like it, your car.

Enjoyed the car all summer, but minimal updates other than switching back to the DS2s, new front calipers/pads, and finding replacements for the broken HK tweeter trim. Just rolled 53k tonight.

Thought I would love the Contours but after rolling them for a few weeks I decided the silver face of the wheels was too much against the silver paint. Maybe the OEM wheel color would have worked better...
