I have a cheap HVLP set up im using with a Senco PC0968 compressor, it's a little under rated but ive made it work so far. I have a couple questions on my set up. As im trying to maximize my air flow. The compressor does 2.2 CFM @ 90 PSI and only has a 2.5 gal tank. On the back label of the compressor it says 4.0 SCFM. My gun only requires 3.5 CFM and I choke up on the fan, air and fluid to try and give me a little more time to shoot.

Senco PC0968 Compressor
50ft Air Hose
Regulator chokes it to about 30 PSI
25ft Air Hose
Gun

I've been running the compressor at say 90-110+ PSI thinking it'll kick on at say 70 and it'll have more time to try and catch up as I run the tanks empty. Most compressors seem to run more CFM at a lower output pressure, if I where to set the compressor at say 40-50 PSI, do you think this would give me a little more time to spray before I run out of air?
