I'm looking at a 2000 323 coupe with 2 fault codes from the MK20 module:
A6 Pressure Sensor (2) Failure
81 Main Relay of Controller (ABS internally)
Clearly fault A6 means I have to replace the 2nd pressure sensor in the brake master cylinder.
I'm more concerned about fault 81. My E36 has a main ABS relay in the fuse box under the hood, but realoem doesn't show one for the E46. And the fact that the fault description says "ABS internally" makes me think the relay function is built into the module (which seems odd to me, but I'm not an electrical engineer).
Have others encountered this same fault? I can't find it in the forums. Does it mean the whole module must be replaced?
The Module on the E-46 is on the ABS pump, and is sort of a part of the ABS pump. The module is removable, and there are companies out there that can rebuild it for you, I just don't know any off the top of my head.

Great, thanks--I just watched some videos of the module removal and it seems pretty straightforward. One of the main repair companies, BBA Reman, may not handle this particular module (the MK20), but it seems like Module Masters does.
