Sure thing.
I used the OEM water temp sensor. The one in the top of the water pump. I had to rethread the sensor to fit in the standard threaded hole of the new block. Also when this sensor is unplugged it will make the temp gauge go directly into the red when plugged back in. Easy fix. Unplug the battery for about 10 minutes, restart the car and now the temp gauge will read correctly.
For the tach I used the OEM crankshaft positioning sensor (the one in the bell housing of the transmission). It is magnetic and all I had to do was weld a tip on the new transmission flywheel and place the sensor close enough to pick up the tip rolling past. Easy as that. Tach picked up instantly and hasn't skipped a beat. I did however have to go through 3 sensors to get the right placement. Too close twice.

Got a lot done today. Hood cut, put the front end back together and took it out after new center support bearing installed. Purred like a kitten! Ran some more wires for new gauge cluster to go in the center console area. Had it up to 50 mph today. First time it's seen over 10 lol!! Really coming together now.

Bummer you had to cut the hood...
Great work. How are you gonna do the hood, or is it done!

It sounds like a truck right now, haha. Is there a exhaust system in place or is just running with open headers? I forget, did you get the AC working or is that still on the to-do list?

Well it's an old school carb based engine, so it's going to be loud regardless lol.
Yea - you need to fix that exhaust leak for sure.

Dude while you are at it you should totally NOS it!!!
Couldn't you remove that triangle air cleaner to get some clearance and fab up some ductwork to use the fresh air vents on the top of the hood to route them through the existing filters to the carb?
So when you close the hood it sucks air through the vents near the windshield washer jets back to the carb

WOW those wheels! They look amazing against the Anthracite Metallic. I may have to get rid of my M Parallels on my Anthracite Short Sport for those. Absolutely beautiful. I'd just be afraid that they'd negatively affect driving dynamics.

Wheels do look great! This car needs a huge blower though.
