Max you are just full of good information. I would never have thought of that, I always just go for where it is convenient and works best for clearances. That must be where there is a harmonic in the exhaust flow but then I would think that rpm would make that change.

They seem to cost close to $2k though. That's a ton for mufflers IMO. Borja XR-1's are about $275 each. I wish I could find the video of my E34 with the S52 cams in the M52 with a Garret GT3076R turbo, high flow cat and no resonator.

I haven't been able to drive the car much lately because we kept getting bad weather then the shifter linkage broke but man... I sure do love the hell out of it! It's just perfection to drive. I am so anal about suspension but have never driven a car that rides better while being lowered. This car truly checks all the right boxes (other than the stereo). I always thought the shifter was a little notchy before and it's because the weld was hitting the DSSR the entire time. Feels wonderful now.

You might have to research your areas for M5 partouts, you might get lucky and find a pair , like I did

I own a stereo shop, my 7 has apple car play, android auto, Garmin nav, cell phone booster, jl audio c5's, 1000 watts of amplifiers hidden in factory amp location (still fit 2 golf club bags) with sub box) remote start, viper smart start gps, auto lights . So I've been through the hoops with mods for my daily driver. I obviously gone aftermarket.

So if RVAE38 puts E60/63 Dinan M5/M6 mufflers will it sound like a howling banshee V10? What witchcraft is this? Can I put one in my E39 M5 to make it sound like a V10?

I missed your previous post. I'd like to keep the nbt if I can. I've got several amps and subs to run.

Maybe with all that sound equipment you can just pipe in an enhanced sound from the exhaust like BMW did......just saying!!!

Yeah I need something.. if I had louder exhaust I wouldn't care as much about the stereo. If my stereo didn't sound like blown RadioShack speakers, I wouldn't care as much about the quiet exhaust. It's a conundrum.

My powdecoater finally had some time available so I dropped off the damaged wheel for him to do the barrel in brushed clear and the face in brushed with a much lighter tinted clear. I will decide which finish based on those two and figure it might even look cool with 2 tone.

Dealer that messed it up gets that one back so I get my check. They let me use it for test finish before having the others stripped. I may try and buy it back for 1/2 price or less though..

Are you guys who run subs with stock stereo using single or dual rca's? If dual can anyone direct me which wires to tap into for the output source? Mine currently has only a single hooked up and I feel like a weak signal could be the cause of my sub issues. My estoril e38 had duals but my audio guy did it and he has since closed shop so cant ask him. I'm about to lose my mind over this stereo. Getting really tired of crap audio since december...
