plus you can't beat the look
I still feel kinda skeptical about my setup, but in one year and 5k miles they are hell of a damn good

I thought about those on my touring but couldn't find enough info/reviews at the time. Good to know that they have worked well for you though.

Ordered Apex ARC-8's in hyper silver 19x9.5/10. I would rather sell mine than have them refinished and use hub centric rings.

I want square side wall in the rear. I will go probably go 255/285. I was planning on 9/10 but the 9" only comes in +34 offset. Don't want to run that big of a spacer.

Who make this wheel? The star on the second pic is so classic, can't find anyone makes star wheels anymore...

It looks amazing on .Tom.'s car. Like the perfect E38 wheel IMO. Now I need to decide between 275 0r 285 in the rear. I have 285 on my 10.5 ARC's on the touring so I think 275 might be ideal for the 10. And significantly cheaper.

Also HRE 305's are stars too, and they are beautiful, but too pricey at $6+k for the set

Yeah, I quoted out the 305, my favorite wheel of all time and they are $2250 each for my specs. Not a chance.

That's because it's the perfect style for a BMW in many people's opinions. Which means it will always age well. Some of the new hipster style wheels are going to be out quick IMO.

Let's not start clogging up this thread with wheels. I have chosen my wheels. There are other threads to discuss wheels on the E38. I think I even started one a year or so ago.

Unfortunately the 305's look too much like my old Fittipaldi Stars - when my BBS RS's were replaced I settled on those.....never liked them but tires were cheaper and they didn't rub. Oh how I wished the fender rollers were available back then........

Yeah, those Apex wheels are some of the only aftermarket wheels I'd ever consider putting on an E38/E39... somehow they just work with the designs of these cars. They're sleek and modern-looking, but not to the point of seeming anachronistic on our old cars.

Also light weight and cheap. Rare combo. Mine have been fantastic for years. No bends etc with stiff coilovers.

RVA what dampers are you using with the H&R springs ? Bilstien sports seem to be insanely hard on my car. I have 750 front brakes and they are a vast improvement over stock but I am using metallic pads and it squeals like a banshee and the dust is horrific.

Get 285 at a minimum. 295s I think fit nicely as well. What offset are the 19x10 wheels you're getting? I'm running the style 95s in 19x10 with 285 super sports and they have tons of room with +24 offset.
