Been a while since I've read this thread, but DAYUM!! Brandon, this baby turned out nice! Trevor & Paul did you something righteous with that engine & audio. A supercharged s62 engine?? Good lawd! I really like the (vavona?) wood trim around the NBT screen - very nice touch... nicely done all the way around!
Kudos dude!

I can't disclose what I paid because Brian underestimated how much work it would take and although he stuck to the original price, I gave him a 20% tip knowing that. My best advice would be to PM Brian (redshift) to ask what he would charge for another since he has done one more e38 since mine. It wasn't cheap at all though...
Thanks!!!! Trevor, Paul and Brian did an outstanding job on this car!
Brandon, how many miles you drove so far?
does your engine burns any oil at all?

Your current situation is not your final destination
The car looks Great! Are there any videos of the now completed car of the engine turned on with the hood opened, or of the exhaust sound?

7k miles I think now. No oil loss. The exhaust is pretty much silent so you can't hear it on video.

Blipshift anybody?

Smaller pulley and belt on the way from ESS. Only ups the boost by 1.5 lbs so tune stays the same.
I went to take my wife to dinner in the 7 yesterday and it had been about 3 weeks since I last drove it. Battery was too low
Wow, what an awesome build and sleeper e38. I would trade this in a heartbeat for my e34 m5....

I know! I had been keeping it clean for the next photoshoot but weather or plans have gotten in the way.
Its tender time!

It will be soon when the temps drop and it stays on the lift for the coldest months. I am getting ready to start building my next project car too. Going back to my Nissan roots.

Haha. I had the chance to buy my 510 back but decided against it. Going with the most unloved Nissan ever made, the z31 300. Picking up RB26 valve and coil covers tomorrow going with rb25 with 26 covers and forward facing manifold.

Too soon. Im planning on getting the motor first. The car will be the cheapest and easiest but need to find one locally. I want an 84-86 gs or non turbo w cloth grey interior. White, black or grey exterior.
Went shopping at Japanese Parts Service this morning
N/A RB25 with long tube headers, RB26 valve and coil/cam covers, Z31 early strongest 5 speed, RB bell housing. Next will be cams, rods, pistons, RB26 ITB's with adapter plate and all the small stuff to rebuild it. Going to build an 84-86 Z31 300zx with this engine. Goal of 300-325 RWHP with 9k rev limiter. It's going to be great. Now I just need to find a good car to start with.
Nice!! My dad bought a 1985 300zx turbo brand new as a college graduation present to himself. I think they had about 200 hp at the crank. Cool cars with the digital instrument cluster and electronically adjustable dampers. Ahead of their time.
Keep us updated on the project!

nothing like getting a sweet engine and then sourcing the car to fit it in. Good stuff.
Damn you have good taste! I have an R32 Skyline which used to have an RB25DE and the same Fujitsubo extractors. I've since 'upgraded' to an RB20DET. I still miss the NA motor though.
Do you plan to make 300-325hp staying NA?
I bought a brand new Nissan RB26dett head, supertech +1 intake and exhaust valves, Tomei dual 234 lb valve springs and titanium keepers. Taking that to my machinist who will port and polish on a flow bench.
Next is Tomei 275 cams, Tomei lifters, supertech valve seals, billet cam keepers, stroker kit with forged crank, light weight rods with custom 11-12:1 compression pistons. Rb26 itb's with velocity stacks and throttle linkage relocation. Will run stand alone, adjustable cam gears and crank fire ignition.
Realistic goal is 300 rwhp out of a 2.8xL with 9k redline.
Fugu z has a similar setup but kept stock crank so still 2.6, has the smallest cam and is running greddy emanage which is poor. His car makes 220.
I am working with a great guy at Raw Brokerage to assemble all the parts for my build for maximum capability. The best part is that my dad is really into this one and wants to help build it. He's probably built 25-30 L series motors.
