2002 tii voltage regulator

Not getting any output from the alternator and believe the problem is the voltage regulator. Can anyone suggest where that is located on a 1973 round tail light car? (my title says 1973, registry says it is a 1972) serial #2762688. Bench tested the alternator and showed it was working.
