    just checking the wiring so far. the tune is unhappy. too lean it seems. so it fires then dies. I need to finish the coolant system before I really get into it.

    Going to try the stock BMW rad. I also plan to make a custom expansion tank inline of the return line of the heater lines like GM does it.

    Thanks! It was fairly easy to build with CAD (cardboard aided design).


    Few things with the car:

    *Speedo doesn't work, abs light is on.
    *I installed a power steering delete block. I'll be sorting the power steering soon... lol
    *Needs tune played with. Out of the blue, the timing with light throttle goes to -11. Which is weird since it was running fine and I turned the corner into my neighborhood and it started to labor and spool the turbo. I moved and added more chassis grounds and checked cam and crank sensor connections. We will have to look into it.
    *It's a riot at even 4lbs of boost. This car will be very fun.
    *I have an engine vibration at 2200 RPM and 4000+RPM. I have to see if its the Corvette damper or the torque converter.
    *I will be looking for a set of 210mm 2.93 gears to install in this M3 case. This car will see lots of highway.

    A little burn out video for you all. I plan to tear down the car this winter and resolve some vibrations along with cleaning some things up. The tune is about spot on. Pulls pretty hard for only 6lbs.

    Some issues with the car that still need to be resolved are:
    *under longer pulls the car starts to lean out.(I suspect the stock BMW fuel pump isn't keeping up with the surge tank)
    *speedo still doesn't work
    *neutral safety and reverse lights need to be wired.
    *install Volvo power steering unit
    *driveshaft vibration (I need to adjust engine mounts, pinion angle)
    *I made the turbo kit and exhaust from mild steel with the intent of coating it all, I'm going to remake it all with 304SS
    *a/c stuff
    *I think I need to put a flow restrictor in the heater line. At higher rpm the heat stops working. If I pop it into neutral, let it idle, it comes back. Thinking the flow is too much for the BMW heater valve.
    *My cousin would like to help me paint the car but I don't think that'll happen this year. Next year, maybe.

    Sounds incredible. That’s a great combo, one I’ve been considering for a future build. How’s spool up with the PT7675? What’s the exhaust housing A/R? What converter and cam are you running? Sorry for the interrogation.

    It's a nice little turbo for $999. The spool is nice and it seems like it wants to make 800whp without struggle. It's a .96 a/r housing and I'm running LJMS's stage one. Cam specs are 222/227 .602/.598 113+4. The cam is incredible. Well mannered and great low-mid range torque. It made 550ftlbs of torque at 3800 rpm with 8* of timing and about 15psi. That is all through a single 3" exhaust with a muffler. It also has an air filter too. Now the 4' of snow needs to go away so I can drive it.

    Well, I toasted the direct drive clutches in the trans. That is now fixed. I am also working on getting an Explorer 8.8 IRS diff fitted into the sub frame. Going with 3.27 gears and RCV custom axle shafts. Can't wait to drive this thing without a drive line vibration.
