Bringing it back.
Any one have updated good/bad experiences with their RTD?
PS, I struggle to see the need to pay extra for the Reverse lockout.
I still love my RTD. I have never felt the need for the reverse lock-out.
Sweet! Thanks. I probably should have just posted this question in this thread...but concerns about alum mounts:

8 months of daily duty and a couple track events, still one of the best mods i've done so far. RTD V0 , no reverse lock-out
Just ordered an RTD.
No, I haven't. So you ordered one, and haven't been able to contact them?
yep...hopefully won't have to charge back...I remember them being super responsive a couple years ago...don't know what happened
Well. Crap. That would suck. I'll reach out and see what happens.
The only reason I "might" pick a reverse lockout if I were to buy one of these is for autocross. If I'm at an event where I need 3rd gear (from time to time) I always struggle to get back to 2nd gear while out on course. The pull to the left to come down from 3rd to 2nd always seems to catch the edge of the reverse gate (or the edge of the 2nd/reverse passage) which makes me look like a fool while driving and does nothing for my times.
On the street in day to day driving I'm like Senna in my heel and toe downshifts from 3rd to 2nd, but throw the red mist of racing in there and I'm look more like a fumbling idiot!
Random question, do any of these shifters let you do custom gear lockouts?
I'd like to lockout 5th, bonus points if I can do it in a pull up style.

I run one of the coolerworx versions of these... fit and finish was/is excellent as far as I'm concerned. Includes reverse lockout and 5th lockout. I can only echo what everyone else has said about it transforming the shifting experience - 100% accurate and I'll never go back.
As far as the debate of needing reverse lockout, personally I like it a lot. I also do primarily autox and also used to catch reverse gate from time to time flipping from 3rd to 2nd. With the reverse lockout I can smack any gear at any time with complete and utter confidence, no second thought.
+100 I used to think it was only me.On the street in day to day driving I'm like Senna in my heel and toe downshifts from 3rd to 2nd, but throw the red mist of racing in there and I'm look more like a fumbling idiot!
Those of you who have actually ordered and received an RTD, what was the timeline?
So far for me, paid 2 weeks ago, received automated receipt same day, and crickets since.
Got my RTD V0 no lockout shifters from Castro Motorsport about a year ago [they had them in stock, not sure about right now though]. I have two: E30 and E36. About 6 trackdays so far and totally in love with the shifter in both cars.
It did take me a couple sessions to acquaint myself with the fact that the shifter re-centers itself though.
Completely worth it and I've been recommending them to everyone.
E36 is uses AKG's DSSR and I forgot the E30's... will update later.

Thanks to Castro Motorsport BMW Repair & Performance Shop - North Hollywood, CA
I just got a DHL shipping notification! (3 weeks and 4 days from order.)
Of course, it's missing the c/o line that I clearly put in the shipping address. Ug. It usually works anyway.
Kinda wish I'd got the reverse lockout...I think it'd be nice to have when rushing to 2nd gear.
