Research this, it may solve your problem:http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...eplacement.htm
Check the MAF. If the MAF is operating improperly it can prevent the cruise control from operating. The pins in the connector at the MAF can become loose over time. Also, the "cog of death" means the tranny computer needs to be scanned.
Hello guys i am new here and i have the same problem with AndreArgenta ...anyone with this problem or a way to fix it?because the most car mechanics said transmission failure but the a/t works fine

Good afternoon, I have the same problem, did you solve it?
Nobody knows? I need help please
Nothing?
What codes are you getting in which modules? What are your exact symptoms? Which model/year/transmission car do you have?
1999 2.8L Z3 Roadster,

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
In DME: 27[39] plausibility, signal, brake-light switch/brake-ligth switch test.
In EGS: 97[151] CAN brake signal
328CI E46 1999 automatic (ZF)
cruise control doesnt work
Thanks
You have a faulty brake light switch. The brake test switch side is faulty, common problem. Change the switch and your cruise control will work again.
To remove the brake switch:
- pull the white plunger out about 20 to 25 mm. The brake peddle will need to be pushed down and held down
- pull the red collar out. This will release the black plastic tabs to be pushed in to remove the switch

Hi, that's not the solution, I've already tried with 4 different new switches. One of them is the one that carries my X5 e53.
Hi Andre did you ever find the cause of the problem? I have exactly the same issue. If you found the solution id love to know.
