The continuing saga of "What have you done for your E24 Lately? PART 3!
I had to replace the clutch slave and got her tuned-up. Unfortunately, she left me high and dry in town one day when my clutch gave out. Got her back all good again. I've been having starting issues with my Schwartz gal. Seems to not be getting fuel. Will have to take her to the Dr. next week.

I think the slave is failing on mine, too, going to have a look Sunday. The reservoir doesn't seem depleted, but the pedal is getting low and it's tough engaging first gear when the car is hot.
Just got the alternator re-installed with new poly bushings and the damn p/s belt shredded and flew off, even though I didn't touch it. Having a hard time finding new belts, all 3, that aren't Chines-made junk, so I'll have to do some running around and see if I can find some Dayco or Gates. Even the Conti belts are Chinese now. I've had too many of these fail prematurely to waste my time with them again.

Well, the time came to release one of the gals. Not enough time to devote to her to give her the attention she deserves. One rare beauty that is going to a good home. Sad to see my all time favorite interiors (Sport Buffalo Nutria) in someone elses care. I passed on all my knowledge with Buffalo hide, so now its up to the new owner to do her right. I'm glad that she will still be in the islands and will be able to check her out every once in a while.
Sending her off...
540i Touring saying goodbye....Aloha!

Wow, I didn't expect that Roku!
What are the coilovers shown above and what did they cost spinnitL6?
I've been working on a new E28 (535i Auto) for the wife. The E24's are patiently waiting for the spring when I have a chance to get working on them!

The end of an era! Looks good roku hopefully the new owner will enjoy her
Roku, is that the one we checked out for you here in Louisville?
Drove to the muffler shop with the exhaust disconnected at the exhaust logs. Needs a catalytic converter. Sounds good that way, but a little loud.
I just picked up a back half exhaust last night speaking of exhaust.
I've been busily ordering parts, just put the last order in today. New clutch master & slave, new center exhaust flange, new hoses & coolant. With a little luck all will be installed this weekend.
Got a usb 12v charger and cut it out into one of the trim pieces so I can charge my phone

I drove my car around town and really enjoyed every second of it
I pulled apart my a/c system so I can try and figure out how to install a larger condensor fan, maybe from an E39?

orsome. Koni yellows. Interested in where you got these bad boys.
Also what im doing (not done). Finally getting the slow leak fixed in the bbs split rim that I've had for about 4 years. Also removed the master cylinder to get rebuild as it's developing a nasty habit of having then brakes partly lock on when driving in traffic. Ok on the open road.

USA 88 M6 update: installed SuperSprint exhaust (deleted the cat) all stainless from header back; installed a Confori chip yesterday (new rev limit is higher - from 6500 to 7200 +48 bhp and 32 torque gain); and new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. Not Dynoed, but from specs only, increased factory hp from 256 to 325 (conservative figure because of cat delete). Previous 0-60 was doggy at 7.5. Yesterday with a half tank of 93 oct fuel and cool flat pavement on warm tires --- 5.2 0-60 time! . Got up to 133 last night (she had much more but I had to slow for traffic). It's not fast yet, but for 30 years, super fun to drive again. Hopefully suspension upgrades next year.
