I'm 17 years old and finally bought my first bmw. It is a 2002 325ci, and in a couple of weeks I will be dropping it anywhere from 2-4 inches. I need to know if anyone can tell me if I should run spacers to get a good, filled fitment. and if so what size. Harms of lowering a car that much? Opinions? A picture of my car as it is sitting right now. image.jpg
Anytime you lower a car, it will change the contact patch on the tires, so you will find that the tires will wear on the inside more. Also short of camber correcting plates, the lowering will change the camber several degrees.
Next I would focus on the preventative maintenance to keep the car on the road instead of modifying a car, that rag top needs some serious attention!
Also to see if the car has the sport suspension, which is already lower than stock, check your vin here: www.bmwvin.com
