How Much should I pay for a E30 ?

I'm looking to buy my first e30 and found one that is reasonably cheap.

its a 91' 318i with 90,000 on a rebuilt engine.
Seller is asking 2000$

the car is salvage title but the only damage to the car was in the front bumper as shown in the pictures.

Do you guys recommend buying the car in the condition it is in?

The only thing I can vaguely remember from a video I had seen about e30's was to try and avoid the 318 merely because it's engine (and components) were more expensive than say the 325I. Simply because that engine is on the "hard to find" list. So you would end up spending more money on parts. I'm not speaking from experience or anything, just paraphrasing what a video I seen said. just to maybe help your consideration towards the car.
I haven't owned an e30 yet so my knowledge on them (internally) is severely limited.
