just did a upper rad hose replacement, used hidden menu to access other temp readings and they are getting way hot. i read that somewhere between 90-95 is normal.... mine hit 105c before i switched it off. not getting heat either. even with the car all the way on 91
the upper rad hose is way hot whereas the lower really isnt.
could this be a water pump issue? what are signs of bad waterpumps? could i be losing coolant from there? could it be the thermostat? should i just replace both?
i put more coolant in but it seems to be disappearing with no signs of a visible leak....
Please help
Sounds like you didnt bleed it right. Its super easy. Let car fully cool down(overnight),Open hood, undo expansion tank cap, set aside, take out bleeder screw, set aside, put key in ignition, turn key all the way to position right before starting, Do not start car!, turn on climate control and set temp to highest degree, turn knob above it all the way to the red dot, now start filling the expansion tank with proper coolant/antifreeze mix until it starts coming out of the bleed screw with no bubbles, massage/gently squeeze upper and lower hose to help push out bubbles, put bleed screw back, put expansion cap on, go to test 7 on obc and test drive it. The car shouldnt get hotter than 103C. I live in one of the hottest cities in the country (110F daily) and my car never goes above 102C. Good luck. Also as a guide my car usually stays anywhere between 91-102C in city, freeway and stand still traffic/driving.

Once the car is cold the next day, just pop the cap of the overflow to burp any trapped air in the expansion tank, and then put any remainder of coolant required to the kalt line.
i just realized your the same guy who overheated your ride and blew your hose from your other post. I hate to say it man but your engine is probably done if its still overheating after fixing it and bleeding it correctly. You can test your thermostat and check the WP but its not sounding too good at the moment
Have a radiator/cooling system pressure test done, that should help answer most of your questions. Now, can you answer some of mine-What is the mileage on this car?, any sign of sweet smelling exhaust?, white smoke out of exhaust ?

did cooling system overhaul. ran into some money and figured it was time. car runs great now with temps neutralizing in the mid 90 C highest at 100 in dead traffic with a.c on blast
no disapperaing coolant and no dash lights. guess that m54 is a lil more durable than everyone thinks.
current mileage at 139412
Good job! At 139k, it was long overdue.
