u run that thing bumper less? Like your avatar ? I mean why not ? Good airflow over IC and Rad... Doesn't exactly slice thru it, but with those times, I'm sure u have the HP to overcome any extra drag from no bumper... So what is that crazy machine of yours putting to the ground ?
Not sure on what it makes now but it made 850+ with a smaller turbo and a little nitrous. Yes I'm running it without the bumper just for this weekend the bumper will go on for the next race in two weeks

I started taking the hood off when I race. It doesn't run any faster but the IAT's stay a tad lower and it keeps it from heat soaking when I hot lap it.

Mabey 400? Just an old cummins with a 6 speed. Drag racing that is like rowing a canoe.

I bet my 95 YJ 4x4 5sp would love a Cummins 4bt, in place of its monstrous petrol 2.5L I-4, pushing a walloping 140chp and similar torque

This wasn't the fastest 60ft of the night. This is after a first gear change, instead of bogging after the hit, it blazes the tires. I don't think I put too much gear in it, i think the track was just a little slick. Either way it is a BMW IRS record ET with more potential. Here is a vid of the actual pass, the score board was blurry from smoke/ fog... I also don't have an in car of this pass but one of the previous pass where you can get a good idea of what happend on the launch.

I'd really like to have a Bruno/Lenco setup someday.
There's actually a guy in NZ that is working on getting his version of this patented. I'm not exactly sure how it works, and his downshift method seems to be maybe a little simpler. (mine uses an electric solenoid to lift the shift rod) I originally tried to buy one from him but he couldn't give me much info besides the pricing would be are $3500 when it actually comes.
The tires are 26/10-15 et drags.
