Whilst removing my centre console in order to recover my dash I have successfully destroyed my OBC !.
It worked perfectly before this
At vast expense I got a new one from my stealer.
Installed it, plugged in the multi connector and the only part that now works is the clock.
I checked the box from the part supplied and its the same number as that I replaced
Does anyone know where I start looking.
Is it practical to start checking for current at the end of the multi as this might indicate that the problem lies elsewhere.
One of the multi contacts must have power because the clock works but nothing happens when scrolling though on the stalk switch.
Does every multi supply current to a different display feature.
This is a 3lt e36 roadster
HELP
Could the new OBC need "coding" to the car in order to work? See mention of it here:

Good point I will have to check with stealer
I've heard it needs to be coded. BTW, I have a used OBC I'm probably going to sell.
Did you get this figured out I have the same problem
