They're made from the same plastic material as OEM ones, the badge portion is also translucent the same as original.

that looks very nice. Unless you're putting this on a car with ASC, there's no need for illumination.

The OE is translucent, i did this swap on a 530 wagon i had swapped to manual, and did some M5 gauges. When you turn off the traction control the M would light up "M Mode" haha.

Indeed, I'll be making some translucent ones for the ASC equipped e34s. Hmm, what kind of bulb is behind the M logo? There either must be two of them soldered right into the cluster board or there must be some sort of twin-filament bulb?

i think it's just a normal twist in bulb like the other warning lights, i'll look at my spare cluster tonight. It's either on or off, don't think its a twin filament?
