Weren't you trying to upgrade the injectors at one point? How did that go?

Yeeeeaaaaaaa....I Was....I Had Bought The BOSCH Gen-III Yellow "Mustang" Injektors.....

    But THIS is The Issue:

It Is An "Air Shrouded Injektor" , BMW ONLY Used This Design For a Lil While in the E36, E38-M73, & Z3.....The Lil Inlet Tube on the Side of The Injektor Is To Help With Emissions & Fuel Atomization....Now In Order To Do The Regular Swap to ANY 15 Lb Injektor....This ENTIRE System Needs To Be Capped Off....It Can Be Done....And Some People Have Done It......The Only Draw Back That HAs Been Rekorded, Is That of a Little "Richness" During Idle Periods.....But Nothing Really Worth Noting....No Check Engine Kodes or Anything Have Been Reported From Doing This......I Just Never Found The Motivation To Kontinue Along With the Projekt....But As I Have Been Werking HEAVILY on the Fuel System as of Late......I#m THINKING About Resuming The Plan...löl

Thanks for this - I have no idea how you found this since it doesn't seem to show up on google, but it is the best price I see for a single car (12/13) quantity.

For higher quantities I found this one: http://www.kaldi.com/gasket-o-ring-nbr-9-93x2-62-12320 which unfortunately has a minimum order of $15, or about 33 O-rings. 36 with shipping comes to $31.07.
I may go ahead and order there (if they even have enough stock) to have some spares.

I'm not adverse to saving money, but I would insure that the "O" ring base material is equivalent to or better than the OEM "O" ring.

    Hi MKIV

That looks like a great kit. I am getting ready to replace the intake and valve cover gaskets on my 99 750il with 117k miles. I am deciding whether or not to replace the injectors while I have everything apart or simply test the resistance of each one and try to clean them out using carb cleaner and a 12 volt battery. As far as I can tell....my current injectors are working well and theres no sign to indicate a faulty or leaking injector but I was able to find a low price of $53 each for a set new Siemans VDO brand part 13641435991
    VDO part number
A2C59514533. Have you had any issues installing the new filters from the ebay kit or removing them from the old injectors?
I am still debating whether to simply replace mine with new VDO for about $640 or simply get the kit you purchased and clean my old ones thoroughly.
If anyone out there has any suggestions...please let me know. Im not certain just how long an injector is expected to work properly and considering to keep this car for a very long time

Thanks to all for their time and advice

it should be fine! first time i took the top end of the motor apart to do intake and valve cover gaskets as well as the plugs, wires, CCV boot+valve, distributor caps, coils, etc- injectors sealed fine. after repeated disassembly, my o-rings no longer seal.

as long as you're careful and follow directions, the kit should be good for you. in the event that you damage an injector, i'd get one of those $53 ones- sounds like a good deal.o o

also make sure your knock sensors are good, i had to open everything up again because mine decided randomly to fail.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the new VDOs for $645. Also getting the CCVs and pricing out both knock sensors...cant believe they cost $120 each. Trying to find a genuine BMW or Bosch units...rather not risk buying a cheaper brand since these sensors are a pain to get to.
