Everything I've read puts it right around 10,000 lbs. Which is more than what I'll need.

Also I put on the aluminum Alcoa wheels to make it look less like a work van.

Who's all going to be at Dominion this weekend?

I should be there both Saturday and Sunday. No van or trailer. Driving to the track fully loaded with tools and parts

Question.. Does anyone know if the "Condenser support" provides any structural support for the front of the car? I am looking at building some DIY radiator ducting and it would make things a lot easier if it could be removed.

The black cross member running across the radiator in this pic

**not my pic** found on the internet

I'm not sure, but I left mine in place. Just built some ducting that attaches to the bumper/splitter (wooden splitter and aluminum ducting make life super easy for someone with limited skills).

My 92 didn't even have it!
Back into a BMW, this time a track rat....and it won't be BMW powered and no, not a V8 either!
Couldn't help myself, boosted e36 m52 street car in progress also!

Awesome! It's coming out this evening then. Will post an update here soon.

Removed the SAP and got a sim. Removed the AC and all components up to the firewall. Removed the stereo wiring harness that runs to the rear amp/speakers. And a few other minor things

Nice! If you are curious about weight loss, yanking the AC (but not the heater core) will remove 43 lbs from the nose of the car. Pretty crazy savings.

Have you already removed the carpeting and sound deadening tar? That's all pretty heavy too.

A few from Dominion a couple weekends ago. Didn't take many unfortunately.

Overall the car ran great. No issues with it other than running a little on the warmer side. Was moderately hot out on Saturday but not July/August summer Temps. Thus the removal of the AC condenser, ac fan, and made some ducting. Will be posting that here in a few.

Got to meet a bunch of people too being on this side of the paddock. Also did end up bringing the van with all my spare parts, wheels, cooler canopy, chairs, etc.

    Beekeeper was called in

Found the trailer I want. Even though it'll cost more than both my car and van combine.

Only pic of me on the track.

Was able to run a few sessions solo too. Totally different experience

AC is now gone up to the firewall. Heater core is still in as I don't want to tear the dash apart yet. Possibly this winter I'll thin down the rest of the harness and remove it.

I've gutted the car from the front seats back. Removed the seats, sound material, carpet, speakers, and everything in the trunk. Also the headliner, sunroof cassette, front speakers, front sound material, radio, obc, and a few others.

Keep the heater core, you'll appreciate the ability to defrost in bad weather!

Lol... Someone's canopy had a beehive in it and I guess rather than removing/spraying it they called in a Beekeeper to get them. There were hundreds of bees flying around. Made for an interesting couple of hours.

Yea it probably wouldve been a good idea to spray or move that hive. Car is coming along nicely though.

I'm glad to hear someone had the presence of mind/insight to deal with the issue in the most intelligent manner. We need bees to keep our ecology going. They're dwindling everywhere. Good on whoever it was that called in the beekeeper.

Lol sorry, I just read over what I wrote and I really ment "wouldn't have been" as in it would be pretty dumb to mess with bee's. Sorry for not spell checking.

With all the towing capacity of that van (of which I am very jealous, btw) why not buy a much cheaper steel trailer?

Yeah that is the plan as of now. Doing it on a budget. Looking for a cheaper one that needs some work. Preferably a steel deck and an open middle section. And I'll fab up a tire rack myself.

Would love an aluminum drop trailer (even steel) but they are expensive.
