*** BRAND NEW DINAN BMW E39, E38 HIGH FLOW AIR FLOW METER HOUSING ***

This is a brand new Dinan Mass Air Flow housing, otherwise known as an Air Flow Meter housing or AFM per Dinan. It is for BMW E39s and E38s that have the 5 pin factory plug that connects to the air flow sensor in the stock housing (as opposed to the older version round screw in type receptacle).

This housing is part of a bigger, more comprehensive kit that Dinan once sold for E39s and E38s. That kit retailed for $650.00 when it was in production.

As you can see in the photos, this housing is unused, uninstalled, unopened, and still in its sealed pouch. This is one of the two final remaining housing units scheduled for the recycling pile(one week old information verified directly by Dinan). These were purchased and shipped directly through the company itself and not through a previous owner or a re-seller. With the final sale of these remaining items, Dinan has permanently closed the books on parts support for their E39/E38 intake kit.

If you are reading this then you know how expensive (Ebay has one listed right now for $450.00) and difficult it is to find these, let alone brand new. The ones that are available and being sold 100% of the time are used, previously owned, and show a great degree of depreciation and decline, either bent, gouged, scuffed, scratched, and often with the protective finish peeling.

If you have an air intake pipe that uses a silicone coupler before the stock MAF, this will work and can take the place of your factory MAF.

This will mate up to the factory flexible hose after the MAF housing and before the throttle body. So you don't need to replace this hose to make the Dinan unit work.

If you've been painstakingly putting together your own Dinan MAF kit for some time now from available odds and ends of rare to find pieces, this is a perfect addition and may just complete the set up you have. And it is brand new.

This Dinan unit comes with a CARB exemption sticker. This will give you the peace of mind and confidence to install this unit. If you live in California, you know how important these CARB exemption labels are so the smog stations won't hassle you and will leave you alone!
