    E36 Drift Truck V2

This pretty much sums up V1......

    or here
    http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...ck-s38-powered

so onto a sparcely documented v2

a few vids n pics is all...

    her first spin....
    http://vid30.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6gjp4hsh.mp4

    first parking lot...
    http://vid30.photobucket.com/albums/...psewz8zqz2.mp4

her first track event with the ls... Limited runs due to overheating issues.

a little lap of the home track....still with cooling issues keeping the runs limited

then the day I pushed too hard with temps still not holding and low oil......thus ended in rod knock horribly....

    and thar she blows..........

I sort of hate to say it, but V2 is WAAAAAAY more badass than V1... That LS motor sounds so sweet, and they almost pay you to carry parts for those out of the store compared to the bimmer stuff you've been used to.

So what is the setup on your LS, and what does the exhaust consist of?

Thx... The ls is a 5.7 alum block 408 stroker, big cam, race gas, trans is zf6 out of a c4 vette...w QuickTime bell housing, spec 3+ clutch, hydro throw...custome alum driveshaft. Exhaust is Cx headers which I had collected Into a single 3" with a muffler. A bit too constricting, So changinot up a bit with a 4" section this time around.

WOW! That has got to be a whole different world of massive torque and power, huh? And the sounds are simply amazing.

What muffler are you running on the 3" system? And what are your RPMs when she's screaming?

she's Super fun, it's abt twice the power with nearly the same power band and as the s38. however having been driving my buddies 2j Subaru a bit, I do miss the peaky turbo . The endless torque will just have to do tho. It's just a magna flow, redlined at 7k, usually well under tho

got her back running thanks to FAT racing
they were able to machine down all the journals on the crank, oversized bearings, and 1 new rod. so happy the whole stroker kit was salvageable.
    also detuned for pump,
    not bad with 400 whp/ 420 tq

and then got run into sat night in a tandem train...... yayyy... whole front end needs replace or serious bending/ pass strut is a banana, and pass quarter is all dented up....

Can't tell if subie has bright headlights or lights in the engine bay...

Status: Someone put glitter in my oil. Wait. Why's all my oil outside the engine? What's that knocking?
