OBD2 second year anniversary just went by on 6/2/2018.

THE TIME DRAWS NEAR!
Speaking of trigger angle Matt, I think you have the wrong trigger angle in your base tunes. The correct trigger angle that I and many other's have verified with a timing light is 324.5 degrees for an OBD1 trigger wheel.
This may have been some sort of tolerance issue with one of our test cars as it appears we used one angle on all three maps - I'm not sure if our tuner averaged the three motors or if this was set on one motor. It's always a good idea to verify timing with a timing light on a new installation.

It really looked like the angle was correct on mine. Now I'm wondering if I should double check it.... It was hard to see since I didn't use a paint marker to highlight the mark...

Does anyone have a base ignition table that goes to about 300 kPa? I'm on 91 octane but one for 93 octane will be ok. Thanks

Can low impedance injectors be run with the Ms3? Such as these Lucas Delphi 160lb injectors: https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-New-Genui....c100005.m1851

Matt, any updates to the OBD2 timeline?
She's built like a steakhouse but handles like a bistro
Any updates ?
Someone please insert, Where's my burrito gif....

Isn’t the only difference between the OBD1 and obd2 harnesses the cam sensors? Can the setup be adjusted for that?
^^Yeah I am sure a few changes would make the obd1 unit work on obd2 cars. For myself, I have a few cars with M52 motors so I would like a true pnp unit to switch back and forth easily.

I’d like one as well so I could swap back and forth with my stock ecu until I got the tune figured out.

How to turbo your car:
Step one. Install ecu and learn to tune and or have it tuned.
Step two. Install injectors and retune.
Step three. Install turbo parts and bits. get it running with out leaks. DO NOT DRIVE IT. Idling should be ok
Step four. Retune car
Step five enjoy
Ya the OBD2 cam sensor is quite unusual and to be PNP there are several other things that are very different. You have to realize the goal is a PNP ECU that retains all OEM functions. It may be taking longer than anyone was hoping but if they are still working on it it's just a matter of getting over the difficulties.

What kind of sensor is the obd2 cam sensor?
It’s not like the cam sensor is tricky or time consuming to swap out.
I read a lot of this thread but skipped a bunch of the middle.
A couple questions if I may..
Upon just plugging one of these in and configuring the software..
The tach is going to work correctly? Speedo? Cruise control? MPG gauge?
Is it wired to any of the warning dash lights like the CEL or battery light?
I expect it is wired to the MAF but I could toss the MAF and use that input for something else?
Is it derivable right away without/before adding a wieband? (prolly wouldn't trust it anyway but I suppose if the narrowband stays on the rich side under load it's prolly good)
It's setup to control Vanos and has a decent vanos base map?
I read it has coil igniters onboard but enough for sequential or just wasted spark? Sequential injectors or batch on the base tune or capable?
Are their any emissions evap solenoids or anything that would be a problem?
I have my ABS off anyway but does it interfere with that as plugged in? Airbag system and associated airbag and abs warning lights?
Is their a diagram of the pinout from the ECU to the factory connector and the factory connector so I can see what I/Os you have wired to what?

Most of your questions are answered here:

The Vanos base map isn't really correct for boost.
Speedo, cruise, airbags, abs and battery light are all separate systems that are not going through the ECU and the tach output is natively setup in the ECU. (check out a factory wiring diagram and study it closely, this is important)
6 igniters, full sequential as all MS3 Pro modules are. (this is essientially the pro mod board inside a custom case with a custom PCB under it)
Never ever boost a car without a wideband. Just get the LC2 or similar, you don't need a gauge the ECU can be programmed with all the safeties you could ever want for AFR, Boost, Oil pressure (with added input) coolant temp, knock detection, I don't know if there's anything it can't do as far as safeties go.
None of the emissions components are compatible
The CEL is wired however on mine it seems to be working in reverse... I have contacted Matt about this but never received an update.

bump , any news on the megasquirt for obd2 yet??
Unfortunately, the MS3Pro PNP for EEC-V Fords has had some serious scope creep, and is hogging our PNP development resources. (Notice I'm not calling it a 4.6 Mustang PNP anymore?) There's now two Mustang test cars in our shop:

This was a pretty ambitious development project to begin with, and it's only grown in scope, with spoofing OEM Ford communications protocols being critical. Once the initial release is out, we'll be able to draw up a road map for other MSPNP development, including the OBD2 BMWs. I'll post up as soon as I have more information on that. We won't open the group buy or accept any money for OBD2 PNPs until we're ready to go full speed ahead on their development.

Blaine's E36/M3 is up and running on ms3x. Completing some final connections / system setup. Swapped back to oem ecu for emissions testing. Took him 19 minutes to go from ms3x to oem.
The following items are still in progress: Knock sensors, Launch control, Traction Control, AC signal pull up
