OK, I've updated the list. Kevin is busy with the documentation on the OBD1 unit this week; I will let you know when we are ready to open the OBD2 group buy.

Thanks for the production Matt and also the info ^

It sounds like I can let the HKS control boost in the system, it has its own solenoid - does that mean I won't need the solenoid as the MS is no longer controlling boost in the system?

Do you see any disadvantages to this?

I think it might work better for my situation

    Appreciated,

    Appreciated,
If you don't use megasquirt for boost control you don't need the solenoid. The big advantage of letting the megasquirt control boost is you can use a boost vs speed table and also it will allow traction control to cut boost over time. You can also cut boost based on failsafes. I have been tuning an outlaw drag car for the past few weeks in an ms3pro using traction control and boost vs speed. It is extremely effective and effective and rather easy to setup.

Boost by mph would be ideal. If you can control boost.

It has an rpm input that could be messed with.

Looks like it can do boost by gear or by engine rpm. Boost by gear is similar to boost by wheel speed.

It's done strangely though, you use two momentary switches, you have an up switch and a down switch. eg. 1 -> 2 up, 2 -> 3 up, 3 -> 4 up, 4 -> 5 up, 5 -> 4 down, 4 -> 3 down, 3 -> 2 down etc etc. it would be easier if they used a linear resistance/voltage input then it could be gear or speed or anything. At least it will make it easier for me to use my steering wheel controls for adjusting boost.

if your buying this you would be a moron not to use the boost control. Hook up two wheel speed sensors and a solenoid and you get boost by speed, traction control that will control timing and boost, switchable boost targets, boost based on ethanol content, launch control that will target a certain boost on the two step, can use 4 port solenoid or compressed air so you can run 30 lbs of boost with 4 psi springs to fight creep, and ability to cut boost based on AFR or detonation. I realize some of you guys are invested in boost controllers and dataloggers and whatever but it's all crap compared to when you can have one system integrating it all into a strategy.

No question. If you have a standalone use the integrated features!! Sell the add on devices if you already have them.

One week to go before the OBD1 units are ready to ship.

The brackets did not arrive in time for them to ship, so we'll send those out to buyers when they arrive.

Correct. There is an expansion connector with two CANBus wires on the back that will wire up straight to your AIM dash.

I would be happy with a display about the size of the coolant gauge that I could put in the cluster to see important data.
