Best products to prevent brake dust build up?

I wash my car weekly but within several days of driving around and maybe some rain my rims are once again caked in dirt and brake dust. What products or processes do yall recommend to cut down on buildup to keep my wheels looking clean for longer than a few days?

Brake pads, ceramic or other low dusting type.

There is no product to put on the wheel to prevent build up. You can get products that will make your wheels easier to clean, though. You need to change your pads to reduce the amount of brake dust.

The only way to prevent the build up is ceramic pads. Now, you can coat your wheels to make it easier to clean. Most people apply a sealant. A step up from that would be taking it to a good detailer and have them apply opticoat or cquartz

Even the Akebono pads dust. CarPro Hydro2 works well to make wheels easier to clean. Easy to apply.

They dust but they dust light gray. You can go weeks and weeks and it will never look black like the OEM pads do. You can also wipe it off with just soap and water

Just use a good wheel wax. Armorall wheel protectant also helps repel brake dust.

Subscribed. What would be a good product to apply before a track day? I would be using a track compound pad. I picked up some Girots poly wax for the paint before track days.

    Here's another option to consider:

Detailer's Pride Wheel Coating. Detailer's Pride recently changed their name to McKee's so it might be called McKee's Wheel Coating but here's a link for more info:

    The review was impressive.
