Yeah wearing the tires out has zero.zero to do with the SLS.
And bags don't change spring rate from 'wearing out' like a spring does, they just start to crack and leak overnight.

Danny is 100% right about what causes the rear tires to wear pre-match.

But just go throw parts and bling at it. That's more fun anyway.

Also, get off of my lawn, you can't have your ball back.

i understand, maybe I should’ve made it a bit more clear on what’s going on... lol

reason for the SLS delete is cause I have swifts springs in a box waiting for install, and cause I’m currently rubbing. My wheel fitment and tire size is a bit to aggressive to keep the SLS as the ride is 100x softer than the front. I’m currently running 18x10.5+15 with 275s all around. The only way I was able to make these wheels work was -3.7* of Camber and the shop barely got it the toe to zero. The tears are pulled and I already flattened then lip. So With a stiffer spring rate (21k) I will be able to elimanate the rubbing as it only rubs on hard dips which is from a softer spring rate, it’ll be a lot cheaper then buying new bags as my springs came with my coilovers.

I do know the balljoints and bushing wear down the tires and will ultimately effect my alignment. And it is part of my plan to refresh the rear end as the mileage is getting up there and it sitting in a garage for 9year with the bags completely out of air probably didn’t help also.

I wish i had had the money to bling out lol.

Just a heads up, on many if not all driver side headlights the factory mounting points are crooked and the replacement projectors sit a little clockwise. Not sure if your setup shows this but I was running Evo2s with CBIs and custom 43w Hella ballast for a bit, hated them and now have replaced them with some modded RX330s. Some people don't notice or don't care but for optimal results the projector should be clocked properly this will give you better visibility and also keep blinding oncoming traffic to a minimum.

Here is what the crooked output looks like...

I use the Hella G4 Bi-Xenon reps in mine and they are level and the bolt holes line up well.

I definitely need to adjust my headlights. The pair I have came from different cars so they're all over the place. Is there a guide on how to adjust them properly?

Hey Paul, on those BiXenon reps, you know how they stick in about 3/8 of an inch., what do you think about swapping out the metal bracket that holds the lens to move the lens closer to where its supposed to be, like the stock lens is. The result should just widen out the beam a little bit, right?
    Good idea? Bad idea?

The problem is the studs. They don't have threads deep enough on them. I don't even see it as a problem. They work perfect for me and I bet only people that have installed them would notice.

You bet, here is a guide I created for the Tesla Model S but it can be used for the the E39 as well since they have projectors which reside at similar heights.

    slight update.

took the Wagon to a AutoX event last month.. and it was a blast till my drive home.

Fuel pump failed, then after it was fixed the following day my power steering pump mount ears broke!

so in the last week or so i've done the following: New OEM PS pump, new resv, expansion tank, new rad hose, coolant flush, spark plugs, got some Front Diff mounting bolts with the revision for the bolt so i can finally install my M5 Chassis reinforcements

Finished a few more things before i drove it to the shop to get the wiring all done for DET3 and dyno tuning.

but first stop MCD for some coffee and a shot of my E53 4.8is cluster that Fixels coded and installed black M5 faces ( Need new DSC/ABS module )

while wire was getting done i mounted some new winter tires on my summer rims.

Cars lookin mighty fine and has quite the mod list - very nice!
I’m not familiar with your aftermarket ECU setup, so bare with my questions if you please - is there a reason why you didn’t dyno tune the factory ME7.2 DME?
More boost related tuning options by going aftermarket?
Will you still have 100% factory functionality to read codes, communicate with all of the other modules of the car, etc...?

glad to awnser, the unit I’m adding is a piggyback system that taps into the factory 7.2me and lets me control afr and timing in the fly also it has a built in 4bar map if I decide to remove the factory maf and run alpha N style. I still keep all factory functionalities as all I tap into is the maf/crank sensor and iat. I was thinking of doing flash tunes but with my turbo’d E36 i had a flash and it was just a pain waiting for reflashes and if it’s not right again you wait again. So this way I rent the dyno one time and have my local tuner take care of it.

I’m currently using their standalone in my e36 and have seen a few m62tu sc in Europe running the det3 with good results.

I have contacted dudmd he flashed some items for me so I won’t have cel in the future as I got him to delete Sap/rear o2s/limiter increase/speed limiter and idle bump.

    Well bit of an update..

Car made 300whp and 300lbs torq @ 5psi was on the dyno for about 4 hours. (Mustang dyno)

Drove it around after car was quick, on my drive home it started to miss fire... I got home and I scanned the car and I Got the code p0011 means chain guides. Car ran great and still runs and drives but not going to take the chance on hurting the motor since it’s not making any noise at the moment.

Sooo I was already prepared for this!! I have a spare motor I pulled out of my Msport parts car roughly same KM’s but with brand new guides and chain.

I will be re sealing the motor as it looks like the guy used silicone to seal it up.

    Power washer the motor.

And since the motor is out I will decatting the headers or will be installing M60 non cat headers.
